An easy walk along the beach will take you to the jetties, where the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor meet, a spot well-known for great snorkeling and fishing. Great room packed full of Nest smart home devices. One device was evidently some sort of alarm. Upon check-in, when I unplugged what looked like an Alexa to utilize the receptacle for something else, an obnoxiously loud alarm went off on this unknown device. It took a call to RealJoy, and the property manager a full hr to remove the device as it still was sounding off VERY loudly. The property manager was very helpful, and unsuccessfully tried to contact the property owner for the code to shut off this device. So she simply took it with her as she was also getting as frusterated as I was. Know that this condo has devices that can audio record you. Only reason we noticed was due to the initial alarm going off. There after notced ALL the nest devices. Made us feel like the property owner can low key spy on you if they want. Needless to say, not the best start to our vacation. However the room itself is very nice, short of all the pretentious Nest devices with monitoring technology. ##### Mike K.
