Destin on the Gulf 206 is a gulf front 2 bedroom 2 bathroom condo that is located directly on the beach! This beautiful condo features a master bedroom with a king bed, flat screen TV and a gorgeous beach views! The guest bedroom has two full beds and the living room has gulf views, balcony access, and a sleeper sofa accommodating up to 6 guests comfortably! Offering convenient beach access just steps away and boasting a private balcony for enjoying the salty breeze, Destin on the Gulf 206 is the prime spot for your next Destin vacation!

Destin on the Gulf Condominiums is located directly on the beach in exclusive Holiday Isle in Destin, Florida, which is a peninsula surrounded by the Gulf of Mexico and Destin Harbor. This low rise, 6-story complex offers a gulf front pool, shuffleboard courts, a BBQ grilling area, an exercise room and coin laundry on each floor. With a private boardwalk and walkway, visitors have easy access the sugar-white sandy beaches and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Paradise is just footsteps away from your room.

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also, for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini train for the kids. Our room was excellent. Clean and well stocked for cooking. My only complaint would be the washer on our floor didn’t work. I was able to wash clothes but used the machine and dryer on the 3rd floor. We stayed on 2nd floor. Also, we had issues with our trash chute being overflowing.

The Condo was spacious and clean. We loved the beach view and the fact that it was private and not crowded. My only complaint is that the shower in the Master Bathroom was horrible! The water shot all the way across to the other side and it couldn’t be adjusted! The center lightbulb over vanity had to be loosened or it was like a strobe light! Other than that it was great

Perfect location,and view, tastefully decorated , kitchen complete with everything needed. We had to call maintenance for lack of hot water but was fixed promptly. Need to update carpet in bedrooms. Would definitely come back.

ROACHES...DON'T STAY HERE!

Walked in and 1st thing we noticed is it wasn't very clean, daughter came out of her room and the bed frame was broken. Next we went to put groceries purchased away and immediately saw cockroaches crawling out of the sink drain and dishwasher. We saw some maintenance people outside and they said that multiple units are having troubles because owners are not allowing pest control in to the units. I would NOT recommend this property to my worst enemy! DO NOT EVEN CHANCE IT!! This was horrible as we traveled all day and then it took 2 hours to get a different condo at a different property. It was 11:30p before we were able to get to a different property and unloaded. Also, I would try and AVOID RealJoy Vacations. They promised that they were going to contact us with compensation for the disgusting unit they had rented us and the headache of changing units but NOTHING has been offered, as soon as we checked out communication ended.

In need of serious remodel/updates

While the view and location of this property are great, the unit itself is in deplorable condition. The carpet in both bedrooms is threadbare, snagged, and dirty. The furniture in the living room is broken down, dirty, and disgusting and should just be thrown out. The lid to the toilet in one bathroom was completely broken off and the handle in the shower in the other bathroom was very loose. The baseboards throughout are either in serious need of a new paint job or are filthy. The unit also has a very strong smell of mildew. The insides of the vents were very dirty. That being said, the kitchen was OK and the beds were very comfortable, although they do need to purchase some sheets for the king size bed which fit properly.

Perfect Place

Perfect location, right on the beach! Boardwalk is easy access for wagons. Perfect place for kids too, as the pool is right downstairs. Unit was clean! Very up to date! Only recommendation would be an updated sofa bed! It was a little worn! Other than that, we loved everything! We will be back!

Great condo with private beach access

The condo is great and had everything we needed. The carpet in the bedrooms was a little worn but overall the condo looks great and just like the pictures. One of the reasons we chose this condo because it was a little further down the beach and away from a lot of the public access. That meant we had the beach pretty much to ourselves every day and the pool was fairly quiet too. There is still a service where you can rent beach chairs, umbrellas and bikes. Management company was very responsive to any questions. We would stay here again.

Our family enjoyed our stay here. Having the view of the ocean and quick access to the beach was great. It’s within a few short driving minutes to area attractions and dining. The pool was too cold to make use of but we did make use of the weight room and shuffleboard. I would stay here again.

Great property but out of date. Kitchen not stocked with all utensils. No brush for basting. Can opener didn't work. Coffee pot old and slow and didn't drip full amount of water. Toaster is a disgrace. Pool not heated. Loved it overall but they need to update. Gate to get into property had light burnt out so at night you couldn't see number pad and had to get your phone light out. They fixed gate but never the light. RealJoy was wonderful and helpful.

Girlfriend get away

We've been friends for 26 years. Life changes, but we still try to get together a few times a year. This was a great long weekend! Beautiful, clean, spacious condo. Beautiful weather, white beaches and easy access. We needed a later check out time, unexpectedly, and it was so easy to arrange. We'll be back!

served it’s purpose


This property served its purpose- shelter to sleep/eat while not out enjoying Destin or the gorgeous beach. The couches were awful. They were very worn down. Super uncomfortable and in desperate need of replacement. The mattresses were also very rundown and in need of replacing. There were cockroaches in the kitchen and bath. The carpet could also use replacing or at least a deep clean? I wouldn’t go barefoot all week. The linens were crisp but didn’t seem to have come clean during washing maybe? There is only cable so if you’re looking to entertain kiddos with Disney play or Netflix anything like that, you’ll need to bring your own device. The door didn’t lock properly without a great deal of effort in some instances. The pool is not heated which was a real bummer during our off season stay. It is very quiet if you’re looking for that sort of thing and the beach was not crowded at all. It is located on beautiful gulf shore drive and close to everything. We didn’t have any trouble getting out and around. Again, it served its purpose but we won’t stay again.
