Great vacation spot!

Pelican was a great place to stay! The condo was very clean and comfortable the amenities with three pools, great bar drinks and excellent cafe food. This was very centrally located to all the fun adventures!

This was as good as advertized! Our family of 4 stayed for a week and the location was perfect, great twin beds for our teens and easy access to the beach! The on site cafe and tiki hut was a great option too!

Great condo with amazing views and amenity’s

We loved this condo. Right on the beach, several pools, convenient tiki bar for drinks and snacks, and a wonderful experience. The view is impeccable and the location was great. The condo was clean and quiet. We would definitely stay here again.

Right in the middle of Destin.

The condo was clean, our balcony had a view of the Gulf and two pools down below. My 6 year old really enjoyed the inside/outside pool.The Cafe and bar was convenient and priced well. Over all a good stay.

The condo was perfect for us. (Family of 5) We only had a couple days to spend at the beach and the location was perfect! Plus the pools for when the kids needed a break from the beach. Condo was clean and we loved the view.

Girls trip

Beautiful building right on the beach! Clean and well maintained building and pool areas ! Good for adults and families with children. Onsite food but close to lots of stores for groceries and souvenirs. Lots of great places to go out to eat. Uber and taxis and lyft readily available and reasonable prices if you’re not renting a car. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Paradise on Earth

Our family thoroughly enjoyed the Pelican Beach resort and our condo. Beach is incredible, white soft sand, emerald water (we could see the fish swimming around our feet), calm waters! I am used to Virginia Beach which is much rougher. Loved the Tiki Bar and the convenience. We will be back! See you soon!

43rd Anniversary

We really enjoyed our stay! There were many restaurants and tourist spots nearby! We also enjoyed the comfort of having everything just like home when we chose to stay inside. I only wish it could be alittle less expensive. I don’t really know the typical rates for Destin since it was our first time.

Alice is an Incredible Host

I can’t say enough great things about Alice. This is our second time going to Destin to this property, and we look forward to going back next year. There was a mixup at the front desk when we checked in (100% no fault on Alice’s part). But Alice helped us work through that and make sure we had another enjoyable, memorable time in Destin. The views are incredible! Wonderful, local restaurants. And the home itself is very clean, cozy, and inviting.

Nice Ocean Experience

We had good weather. A nice view from our balcony. The Ocean was right off the Condo. We just took the elevator down walked through the lobby and out passed 3 pools and onto the beach. The kid pool was perfect for our 2 year old Grandson. And he loved the Beach. We had a great time!

Amazing condo and property

Beautiful condo. Plenty of space. Beautiful views from the room and response from host was amazing. She was prompt to answer any questions we had. We really enjoyed our stay. The only thing that I can suggest to make getting your baggage to and from your room is you should bring a wagon. The property has a very limited number of carts and with everyone checking in and out around the same time, they are hard to find.

Pelican resort

My wife and I stayed at pelican beach and we enjoyed ourselves everyday. Condo was very clean with every amenity you can imagine. Great weather, and very clean water on the beach. The only thing that they might look at is the ceiling fans are a bit noisy when your trying to sleep. Other than that we have no complaints. We plan on returning next year. Thanks Alice 🙋‍♂️

This property was exactly as described. The location in Destin is perfect, central to everything. The unit is clean and stocked appropriately. Plenty of towels, great view! It is small as someone else mentioned but NOT too small. It was perfect for my family of 4. It could use a darkening curtain in the twin room. We did have 2 problems which absolutely have nothing to do with the unit but more the property itself. There are only 4 elevators for 20 floors. It can be difficult especially during checkout. People were waiting for elevators. This unit is on the 18th floor so not easy to carry luggage or ice chests down. The other is that once on the beach it is a small area allotted to the condo. The property rents out chairs and umbrellas, typical for all the condos around, however this property has 5 rows of umbrellas and chairs taking up all of the sand close to the water and will not allow personal chairs or umbrellas to set up in front of their designated areas. To the left and right are private beach areas belonging to other condo units. If you are planning to rent chairs it may not be a big deal but if you bring your own, you will not be able to see the water or your kids playing. For younger children this would not be an ideal situation. Just some knowledge, but again nothing on the unit itself. I would happily stay there again if the property changed a few of their chair arrangements. Also, the cafe and bar by the beach is a wonderful plus and the pools are also great!

Additional Information

The focus of this review is additional resort and “beach” info not in other reviews. Hopefully this will help you plan. First, the condo is great! No issues. Everything is as pictured. There is a good ocean view. The unit is on the side of the building (not directly facing the ocean). This was fine for us. The unit is directly over the pool area. But on the 18th floor this was no issue (little noise that far up). The resort was well maintained and cleaned. The lobby is plain and no air in the elevators. There is a covered parking available and security. The property is well located for eating and activities in Destin. You will need to bring your own beach items. I have stayed other places that provided them - so just a heads up (to prevent a last minute rush). The resort has a beach chair and umbrella service. We went in July. The resort’s section of beach gets pretty crowded during the day. There were usually 4-5 rows of rental umbrellas and chairs set up during the day. In contrast, the properties on both sides had beach service only 1-2 rows deep (those are ones in the pics). So if you want to rent and see the ocean at pelican beach, I suggest reserving chairs and umbrellas via the service asap (online). However, if you don’t want to pay you can set up your items behind the rental area or 20 feet in front (right at water). Destin in July is hot. We opted to wait until 4pm every day and then hit the beach (when the rental chairs all go away). Hope this helps!
