The property was remodeled in November 2016 with all new appliances in the chef's kitchen, new showers and sinks in the bathrooms, and various upgrades throughout. Located within the gates of Destin's premier private neighborhood, guests will have access to the community pool and hot tub and well as the community beach access. The home is also in walking distance to the popular seafood restaurant, The Crab Trap. The first floor features a kitchenette, bunk room, and king suite. Guests residing on the first floor will have access to a beverage cooler, microwave, and sink in the kitchenette. They can enjoy the convenience of preparing snacks without traveling upstairs to the main kitchen on the second floor. Off of the kitchenette is a door leading to the side yard with an outdoor shower, ideal for rinsing off sand after a day at the beach. The bunk room on the first floor offers a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a twin bed with twin trundle. This room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and Blu-ray player. The second bedroom, the king suite, features a king bed and a twin-over-twin bunk bed. This spacious king suite also contains a sitting area with a sofa, coffee table, and flat-screen TV. The sofa folds out into a queen sleeper. The king suite and bunk room share a large bathroom with dual sinks, a standalone shower with custom tile work, and a private water closet. Although the bedrooms share a bathroom, both rooms have separate entrances (i.e. it's not necessary to walk through one bedroom to get to the other). The second floor of the home holds the chef's kitchen, living room, dining area, and a king suite. The chef's kitchen is a highlight of this luxury home. With natural-finish marble counters, brand-new Kitchen Aid appliances in stainless steel, a six-burner gas range, and an extra wide stove this kitchen is a culinary master's dream! All utensils and appliances are provided, including a Keurig, coffee pot, knife block, toaster, and microwave. The dining area provides seating for 8, and additional seating can be found at the kitchen barstools or alfresco dining on the balcony for 6\. When it's time to relax, guests can head to the living room made cozy by décor in soft colors, a large couch, and additional sofa chairs. A 42” flat screen TV with sound bar provides entertainment. The king suite on the third floor has wood flooring, a king bed with a custom wooden bed frame, and a private bathroom with a standalone shower. The master suite takes up the entirety of the third floor. This spacious suite offers a balcony with 2 chaise lounges and two chairs, a great place to enjoy morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. At the foot of the king bed, there is a bench seat. There is also a flat-screen TV, a study desk, and a walk-in closet. The master suite's private bathroom is also very large with a jetted tub, a glass-paned shower with two shower heads, a private water closet, and dual sinks. Only a block from the beach and a short walk from the pool it was very convenient for us with our small children. However, we noticed a musty, moldy smell upon entering and all throughout the house. Sure enough, there was mold in the downstairs bathroom and in the vents all throughout the house. The internet didn’t work and we discovered that the gas stove didn’t work, but property manager was excellent in responding to our calls about both. They went above and beyond to get us hot plates to cook on until the gas company could get out there. The location of the house was excellent for three teens and an infant and the different needs that come up with those age differences. All in all, we enjoyed our stay, the property managers were extremely responsive, but the house just needs some basic maintenance and a deep clean to remove mildew and mold. ##### Kaila W. We had a couple of cleaning issues and a request for a blow dryer which management handled quickly and nicely. My suggestion would be to clean tile/travertine floors and reseal. Walking barefoot inside left the bottoms of our feet black. Besides that, the biggest issue was that every “sharp” knife in the house was dangerously dull. Even cutting bread was impossible. The house was beautiful, the location was so easy to get to the pool and the beach. We want to come stay again! The third floor master and bottom floor king are fantastic sized rooms and all the beds were very comfortable. The bunks on the bottom floor aren’t ideal for young kids if you don’t have an adult staying downstairs in the other bedroom bc that is the garage/outside access and the giant master room is on the top floor. Just something to consider if renting. The middle king room is where we put our 2 year old in a pack n play so the monitor would reach during the night but we had to hope the other little ones would get the grandparents if needed next door on the first floor (they couldn’t make two flights). The den/kitchen was huge and wonderful for a big group to gather. The sofa was not very comfortable but we really only spent time indoors on it in the evenings. Outdoor table was great for meals, puzzles and games, and overall, we had such a wonderful 4 night trip. Can’t wait to book and go again! ##### Catherine W. I contacted the rental company and they responded immediately. The guys cleaned a few things I showed them but the house overall was just kind of gross. We stayed for 2 weeks so I had to do quite a bit of cleaning to get it up to even a pretty low cleanliness standard. The house itself is nice, the furnishing and large porches are awesome but the bottom floor has a pretty musty smell. It was almost a deal breaker for us. Also, the last time we stayed at this location we had access to Destiny East-pool, tennis courts, and work out room. That was disappointing. Jun 4, 2018 #### Very nice with minor flaws Beautiful home, no view of water, but very short walk to beach and pool. Quiet neighborhood. Description on VRBO/HomeAway has mistakes. Portions appear to have been copied and pasted from a description for another home. Electronics/TVs do not all work properly. WIFI does not work on top floor. Very nice appliances. Some furnishings showing their age. Tile floors could use a good scrubbing, especially in half bath. Overall, very nice and would stay here again. ##### Lesia W. We were greeted by Five Star when we first arrived and even had wine delivered right to our door. Very pleasant experience. It was a spacious and comfortable home for our party of ten. Will definitely use Five Star in the future and Deliver My Wine as well! haha Already planned our next stay in Destin, FL.
