Our setting is a mix of the old and new - modern homes within an old cowboy ranch. Off the beaten path, our home is in the country and is a rural, relaxing getaway. The space Join us as we celebrate the wonders of the Coachella valley in a modern and well-designed desert home with comfortable furnishings and a warm and welcoming feel. Stunning sunrise and sunset views of Joshua Tree National Park, San Jacinto and San Gorgonio Mountains. Our beautiful home allows you expansive views of it all from a well-appointed living space. The Modern Living Spaces homes of B-Bar-H Ranch were offered in 5 striking models. Our home is the "Brandy Alexander" and is one of the more popular models. It offers a spacious living room and kitchen area which is open to the front entrance. Both sides of the living area have sliding glass doors to private and serene settings. To the west, one sees San Jacinto and San Gorgonio out of the courtyard, while to the east one sees the open ranges of the Little Bernardino Mountains. This setting will compel you to meditate, create or just leave it all behind and relax. Palm Springs (8 miles down the road) San Gorgonio Wilderness (Mission Creek and Whitewater) Pacific Crest Trail Joshua Tree, Pioneertown, Twentynine Palms Excellent Birding (Tanangers, Burrowing Owls, and more). Experience the great history of Desert Hot Springs, including the Cabot Yerxa Museum, shopping in the Desert Cities, and the great dining of the valley. We love the history of B-Bar-H Ranch, formerly a Hollywood get-away. We believe in the darkness at night so that we can see the stars (and sometimes even satellites!). We love the ranch-like setting, with no security gates and a feeling of openness. Our neighborhood is an open place where friends and loved ones join in the evenings for short walks. The Sunline #14 is available from Palm Springs and runs three times per hour along Palm Drive and Gene Autry. The entire home is yours for the stay. Fully equipped kitchen Pool and spa (pool or spa heat additional charge based on use) New Washer and Dryer Private patios and open spaces. The short walks with neighbors really makes the place special. We enjoy meaningful relationships with our friends in the neighborhood, yet we respect each others' need for privacy and retreat. This is not a "gated community." Nor does it have "covenants" or other restrictions which make our home look like others'. B-Bar-H Ranch neighborhood is rural, in the country. As such, it has a mix of residents - people from all walks of life. If you are interested in peace and quiet (albeit with a few barking dogs), stunning views of mountains all around, and a relaxing place to recharge, this property will be great for you. We will do our best to accommodate our guests and make their stay a pleasant one. We love our sense of community in the neighborhood. We respect each other's privacy yet we all keep an eye on each other. It is truly a friendly community. Neighborly Respect - we maintain a no-noise/no-disturbance policy. Please make sure to keep voices and music to a minimum at all hours. We can't assure others will be as respectful, but we wouldn't want a noise problem to come from our house. Thank you. The house is lovely and very well equipped - kitchen, tech, towels, etc all excellent. We didn't use the pool but the hot tub was beautifully clean and easy to warm. We liked hanging in the living room, and in the back patio in the mornings. There’s a nice pool and hot tub but it was cold and we didn’t want to use it. We had a look at the moon through their telescope at night, that was fun and might push me over the edge into astronomy. I had hoped we’d be able to see more stars, but there’s still a bit of light from the city. It’s only 15-20 minutes from Palm Springs, so we would go for dinner there at night, and went to Indian Wells for the tennis tournament during the day, which is 30-40 minutes away. The hosts were very conscientious and it was a pleasant stay. ##### Philip R. The house had everything we needed for a great long weekend stay. The hot tub was lovely and provided a good contrast to the um heated pool (refreshing!) The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, and it was great to have a washer and dryer. The neighborhood felt safe and the location was great for hiking and checking out restaurants in Palm Springs and surroundings. We would definitely stay here again! ##### Andrea C. The owners/hosts obviously work relentlessly to provide a comfy and inviting house and yard that makes you feel like you’re staying at your own private Ritz Carlton. The pool and spa were sparkling clean, large spa with amazing powerful Jets. Great patio furniture with chaise lounges. Inside, huge couches, smart tv, more than fully stocked kitchen, incredible beds and bedding, sparkling clean bathrooms, fast air conditioning, even a fast charger in the garage where a guest may park. There’s so much more like the art on the walls, the architectural lines and aesthetic touches, and the amazing reading materials. Most of all, the house had good vibes from the love given to it and its guests by Walter and Miguel, two of the nicest gentlemen in the valley. Having VRBO and other vacation rental experience over the last 25 years, we can say with confidence that this place is one of the best of the best. Enjoy! ##### Max D. This house is a gorgeous, clean and comfortable desert home with nice mountain views. Excellent for two couples (two king beds) or a family. The home had everything you would need, including a lovely pool and a well-stocked kitchen. It is in a nice, quiet neighborhood 20 minutes or so from downtown Palm Springs.
