The location is ideal for walking around downtown Des Moines, with great restaurants, bars, and nightclubs all nearby. Communication with the host was great too. The Saturday Farmers Market is just a short walk away and an absolute must-do, as is a visit to the historic Courthouse.The only downside is that the property sits on a busy street directly across from a popular music venue. In addition the hosts seemed good as well. The only down side for us was that the north wall that the bedrooms are on was not refurbished with a sound insulation barrier and the outside noise is very loud. Just an exposed brick wall. We were not able to get to sleep until about 3:00am as people were filing out of the bars along the street to party (this was a Wednesday night!).
