"This place is one the best ones in which we have ever stayed: very spacious and comfortable, with lots of useful equipment (especially for children) and a great kitchen. The view on the mountains is wonderful, the village is very quiet and nice, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, welcoming us with delicious cheese and local products. "Property is beautiful, and felt like home. Owner was very responsive to last minute issues. Very close to the bus stop. Once you are in the COMO area, be ready to walk. The UBER, Taxi are not reliable at all and the bus service is very poor during the day, but runs free service at night after 7/730 pm, which is pretty regular and nice. Will stay here again on my next visit as well, may be will bring less luggage... lol."

"The great selling points are 1) the staff are extremely nice and helpful—they picked us up at the ferry, carried our heavy suitcases up the stairs to our room, held our luggage and then brought it to us at the ferry dock. 2) the view is unbeatable—IlPerlo is high up on a hill with a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding villages. The restaurant has clean glass walls so you can enjoy this view with your meals. 3) The included breakfast was delicious. We would love to stay here again."

"I don’t normally leave such detailed reviews, but in this case, it’s definitely warranted. Where do I even begin? The Mandarin Oriental, Lake Como was absolutely incredible and, without question, one of the highlights of our entire trip to Italy! We were travelling through Italy and booked only two nights at the Mandarin, but if we were planning the trip again, we would definitely stay at least one night longer. The hotel lived up to its name, which is synonymous with exceptional service, attention to detail, and over the top luxury. As breathtaking as the property is, though, what stood out most was the service and the way the staff made us feel throughout our stay. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, welcoming, and attentive. Even more impressive, the staff members we met during check-in made a point of greeting us personally whenever they saw us again. Those small touches made a lasting impression and are exactly what separates great service from truly exceptional hospitality. Everything about our stay, from our room and the food to the floating pool and the spa, felt special. We were genuinely sad when it was time to leave and wished we had booked that extra night. The Mandarin delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for and somehow exceeded it. If you’re considering staying here, do it! It’s definitely a splurge, but for us, it was worth every penny. Next time we’re in Lake Como, we’ll absolutely be back, and staying longer! 5+++ stars!"
