"Property is beautiful, and felt like home. Owner was very responsive to last minute issues. Very close to the bus stop. Once you are in the COMO area, be ready to walk. The UBER, Taxi are not reliable at all and the bus service is very poor during the day, but runs free service at night after 7/730 pm, which is pretty regular and nice. Will stay here again on my next visit as well, may be will bring less luggage... lol."

"This place is one the best ones in which we have ever stayed: very spacious and comfortable, with lots of useful equipment (especially for children) and a great kitchen. The view on the mountains is wonderful, the village is very quiet and nice, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful, welcoming us with delicious cheese and local products. "Pros: Nous avons été très bien accueillis dans la propriété, qui jouit d'une vue magnifique. L'appartement est neuf, très propre et bien entretenu. Les logeurs nous ont donné de très bons conseils au niveau des endroits où aller en pleine canicule, des restaurants et des lieux à voir. Lorsqu'il fait très chaud, il est vraiment agréable d'être un peu en altitude par rapport au lac de Côme. Nous sommes ainsi allés en montagne, à plus de 1700m d'altitude, c'était parfait! La proximité des forêts...

Der Gastgeber informierte uns jedoch, dass es eine Fehlinformation seitens Expedia sei. Das war auch in Ordnung für uns, es war zwar sehr warm aber mit offenen Fenstern ging es irgendwie. "We absolutely loved our stay at LUGANODANTE! The hotel is beautiful, modern, spotless, and the location honestly could not be better. The staff was amazing from the moment we arrived so welcoming, helpful, and attentive. We traveled as a family with my elderly father, and everything was so convenient and easy for us. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. Lugano was such a special part of our trip, and staying at LUGANODANTE made it even better. I would 100% stay here again. Truly a 5-star experience! 🇨🇭❤️"

"A four-star boutique hotel with the standards of a five-star property. The rooms and restaurant are definitely five-star quality. The pool is large and never too crowded, and there is also a small beach if you want to swim in the lake. Just bear in mind that the hotel is not easy to reach. You either need to drive your own car or arrange a car service. For example, the fare from the hotel to Milan is €240. Local buses are very crowded and can be almost impossible to board."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. The menu was varied, with plenty of choice, and everything we had was enjoyable. All of the staff were lovely and welcoming, but Luana at reception deserves a special mention. She was incredibly kind and helpful. We had unfortunately made a mistake when booking and selected the wrong dates, but Luana was so gracious and understanding and went out of her way to help us resolve the issue. Her kindness made a stressful situation so much easier. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend Hotel Funicolare. Spacious rooms, beautiful views, good food and genuinely wonderful staff."
