Family-Friendly Farmhouse close to Denver & Golden, Red Rocks and Casa Bonita

Welcome to our organic Farmhouse! A 2-acre slice of rural heaven just 25 minutes from downtown Denver, 15 minutes from Golden, and 1.5 hours to the ski resorts. Perfect for families with plenty of room to play and run around. We do not use fabric softeners or chemical perfumes, only essential oils and natural soap. Enjoy the back patio with a cup of coffee, the fire pit with stump seating and s’mores, and play structure. Restaurants, shopping and groceries are just minutes away.

The Farmhouse is a family and kid-friendly place. Let your kids run around our 2 acres, dig in the sandbox, play on the play structures, and sit by the fire making s’mores. We know your family will enjoy our peaceful retreat!

We don’t use perfumes, air fresheners, or fabric softeners. The only scents will be essential oils and organic laundry soap. If you are chemical sensitive like us, you should feel right at home.

We have plenty of room to sleep 6 at the Farmhouse with three bedrooms upstairs and two full baths. Please note that our farmhouse has a steeper set of stairs, and all three bedrooms are on the upper level. Here are descriptions of each room and space to help plan your stay:

Bedroom 1 – Master bedroom with a comfy queen bed with a view to the south and a Pottery Barn couch/futon that is on the firm side and is probably best suited for kids. There are built in drawers and three closets for plenty of storage.

Bedroom 2 – Above the kitchen facing north, a spacious area with comfy queen bed, low dresser and large walk in closet.

Bedroom 3 – Comfy queen bed with a view to the east, along with a tall dresser and closet for hanging clothes.

Upstairs Bathroom – Two sinks along with a tub/shower and plenty of space.

Hidden Fort – your little ones will figure this one out quickly, there is a hidden space with toys and games.

Downstairs Bathroom – Full bath with stand-up shower.

Kitchen – Cozy space to cook a full meal, or just get that morning coffee going with a view to the north of the property. Fully featured with; oven, stove, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and dishwasher. Fully stocked with; stainless steel pots/pans, cooking utensils and knives, cutting boards, mixing bowls, plates/dishes/silverware, and kid’s plastic cup/plates/silverware. There may even be s’mores supplies hiding out as a special treat.

Dining Room – space for 8 or more right off the kitchen with tons of natural light.

Reading Nook – Two bean bag chairs and a selection of kids books to cozy in and enjoy.

Family Room – Comfortable leather couch and love seat, recliner chair, and rocking chair to enjoy conversation or a movie on the large TV/DVD from our selection of family-friendly movies. There is also space for a blow-up mattress.

Laundry – Washer and dryer available for your use along with laundry detergent provided.

Back Patio – Covered patio for relaxing, enjoying the view of the property, cooking a meal on the natural gas grill, or enjoying dinner and watching the Colorado sunset over the mountains.

Yard – Plenty of space to run and play with a swing set and climbing structure, geodesic climbing dome, play airplane, and outdoor mud kitchen.

Baby/Kid Items – We have available for use; baby high chairs, baby bath tubs, pack-n-play cribs, toys, and an assortment of family-friendly books and movies to enjoy. Just let us know if you need anything set out and ready for your stay.

Since we are family-friendly we don’t allow parties, recreational drugs, or smoking in the house or on the grounds. We also ask that our guests are quiet by 10:30 pm out of respect to the neighbors.

The Farmhouse remains a quiet reprieve and breath of fresh air. Come on in and enjoy the peace at our small slice of heaven in west Arvada. We look forward to hosting you and your family at the Farmhouse, and hope it is a blessing for your stay in Colorado!

Came to the area with some friends to explore the area. This location was convenient to Denver, Rocky Mountain National Park and Pikes Peak. We were very comfortable in the home. The owners had great communication and the house had lots of amenities to make our stay better.

Our stay at the farmhouse was fantastic! Everything was sparkling clean when we arrived. The host was extremely responsive. Never ran into any issues, but i am sure if we did it would have been resolved quickly. Location was perfect for our itinerary.

This is our second time staying at the Farmhouse. It was even better than the first time. The host definitely roll out the red carpet.House is spacious for our family. Location was perfect for traveling to Golden for graduation weekend. Definitely recommend to others.

Family wedding week

This home and property is wonderful. Big enough for family/friends get together and plenty of parking for visiting . Has a back patio with grill and the host put additional chairs and tables for everyone. Kitchen is fully stocked for cooking too. Host Communication is excellent. This is our 2nd time visiting here. Beautiful Farmhouse

We had a wonderful time in CO. The farm house was better than advertised. Location was ideal, just a short drive to grocery store and dining. Dane and Megan were gracious host. They answered any questions we had and even provided us with organic eggs. Plenty of space for our family. Beautiful setup inside. There was a reading nook! We highly recommend!

Quaint, good location with plenty of room

Overall there were a a couple of hick ups, but pretty much remedied by the host. The heater went out but they fixed it timely. They don't mention the intolerance to fragrance, but they do supply detergent, so that's not an issue either, but would be nice to know ahead of time. I think it might have been in a welcome email. They also don't mention you can't get TV stations unless you hook up your accounts, again nice to know but not an issue unless you are weary of signing in. Other than that all is as presented on VRBO and we had a great time. As you can see we did give it 5 stars.

We have rented many a home on VRBO and this was one of the best. The property was immaculate when we checked in and the host was in touch with us throughout our stay, The home is spacious and has plenty of character. If we return to the area we would absolutely rent this property again.

Best stay, we asked for one extra day even!

The couple who owns this farm house was amazingly communicative and easy to get ahold of. The farm house was beyond charming. My 4 and 6 year old loved the toy closet, the fire pit and playground in the backyard, and library books to sift from! It was clean and cozy and just the right size for our family of four. We loved it so much and enjoyed the extra space that we asked for and were able to stay an extra night (instead of us opting for a hotel closer to the airport our last night). We will stay here certainly again should we come back to this area of town and will highly recommend this place to ANYone who asks!

A hidden gem and a perfect place to stay!

We had a lovely and peaceful Labor Day weekend at this organic farmhouse. I was in search of a special location to relax and stay. My sister and brother were visiting from Illinois and we were attending a concert at Red Rocks. The farmhouse is a hidden gem. This very loved and well-maintained home and farm was perfect and delightful. It was beautifully decorated with a farmhouse charm… clean, fully stocked with all the essentials for prepping meals, wonderful organic products, and we admired the meaningful and creative saying and thoughts artistly displaced throughout the home. We walked and enjoyed the peaceful two-acre farm, enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets, prepared delicious meals and enjoyed them on the patio. We had magical and fun conversations around the fire pit, and we comfortably and peacefully slept. It was a phenomenal time of reconnecting and a perfect location to spend our precious time together. Dane is a lovely and inviting host and we are so grateful and happy we found this amazing place to stay.

A Perfect Spot -- Close to Denver -- Close to the Mountains

This beautifully maintained house in the western Denver suburbs provides easy access to both the city and the mountains. It's living space is spacious and inviting, its kitchen is very well appointed, the bedrooms (all three) are comfortable. And the property itself provides a little respite -- a covered patio for outdoor meals, a fire pit, and all the key elements of a working farm (a hothouse, a chicken coop). The property owners are very good communicators, very gracious (a welcoming loaf of fresh bread and a package of ground coffee) and very responsive to needs that arose during our stay. This is rental is a BIG winner.

Home Away From Home

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Best rental we have ever had through VRBO, hands down. This home was simply amazing for our family of 5. It was clean, beautifully decorated, and had an amazing outdoor space our boys loved to play during our downtime. Dane was great with leaving lots of detailed information and toys/activities for our kiddos and even left some goodies for the adults too! Super kind! I hesitate to say more because we hope to come back again and I don't want any competition! LOL. Thank you so much for everything! Can't wait to stay again! :)

Organic Farmhouse

Lovely stay in Arvada on a two-acre farm. Large house was nicely decorated and all soaps/cleaning solutions were organic. Nice patio, fire pit, and natural gas grill. Great view of Denver skyline in the distant. Host, Dane, was very responsive and pleasant. Bonus was collecting fresh eggs each morning from the friendly chickens. We will definitely look to stay again. Thank you, Dane, for a great visit.

This restored farmhouse was delightful -- spacious, clean, and well-supplied. Though located on a well-traveled road, the fence gave a sense of privacy and seclusion. Enjoyed walking in the back of the property to visit the chickens and very vocal rooster during the day (actually did not hear him at dawn). The owners could not have been more responsive, gracious, or accommodating. Five stars plus!

Cozy, quaint, and clean farmhouse get away!

Stayed here with our two sons, 6 and 8, my husband, and my parents. Lots of room for us all and tons of things for the boys to do! You can tell the hosts take a lot of pride in their home. Dane was very accommodating and considerate. Would definitely recommend!

Fantastic in every way!

We had the very best stay imaginable. The hosts were the best we've ever encountered in any stay anywhere. Our family truly loved the house, the farm, the area, absolutely everything. The kids, little ones, found their happy place from the moment we've arrived. It was relaxing and enjoyable every moment of every day - we never wanted to leave. It was a home away from home, except even better than that. I cant say enough good things about our experience.

Awesome Arvada stay

This property was awesome for our family trip to the Denver area. The location is super convenient to get outside of the city but also only a few minutes to the Wheat Ridge light rail station for getting into the heart of Denver. The house was clean and tidy and the hosts were super communicative and responsive to questions. Having farm-fresh eggs in the morning was a huge bonus! Would definitely stay here again on future family trips.

Recovery Stay

I used this home to recover from surgery and had a relative stay with me. The owners went above and beyond... left coffee for us and a few snacks including a cake! All the bedrooms are upstairs but there is a reclining chair in the living room that was wonderful for the first day and there's a no-step shower on main floor... also helpful! The home has some rules with a septic tank (which was a non-issue for us) and they let us know about a grounds person who comes to feed their chickens on the property etc... but they communicated all of that ahead of time and were incredibly easy to work with. The owner swung by to help us with their TV and brought us more water (we stayed a week) but they are PROMPT and on it! There is only one TV and was fine with us but good to know if you have other guests staying and expecting to watch TV in individual rooms for example but that's what laptops are for :) We really enjoyed our quiet stay there even with their hilarious rooster - thank you again for EVERYTHING!
