Close to the Airport

Posted 19-Apr-2016
With heavy snow in the forecast and an early departure, we chose to drive up to Denver the afternoon before instead of O-Dark 30 in the morning. Parking at the Hotel and taking the shuttle to the airport saves money and being able to sleep a few hours longer make staying the night a no-brainer. Because of the storm the hotel was completely booked. Nonetheless, the staff was efficient and courteous. We enjoyed a nice meal in the restaurant. It's clean and quiet. Recommended if you're looking for a place off-airport.

Convenient, comfortable, and friendly. The restaurant served a mean Moscow Mule, and all our dinners were exceptional.

unfriendly unhelpful staff and poorly supplied

Posted 15-Mar-2016
Pros: nothing well OK the room was OK
Cons: attitude , supply the room its just normal
Location: go to the airport, thank goodness it was just one night
this was a suite with a fridge and microwave. the problem was there were no cups cutlery bowls not even plastic Not even a bottle opener. when we asked for one they told us we had to walk down to the restaurant next door each time we wanted something opened. there we large cabinets completely empty. no cups glasses NOTHING!! what was the point to having a fridge and microwave when there is nothing to even eat snacks with. then on top of that the staff was unfriendly and unapologetic. they refused to give us anything to use to eat our snacks. not even napkins which is in their own best interest to help clean things. I have never been to such a lame hotel. Poor Poor Poor !!! the room was nice. A nice little kitchenette but completely useless like the staff. they want you to go to their restaurant, We did not , and we are done with Holiday Inn.

Great Expectations

Posted 11-Feb-2016
I had great expectations but unfortunately I was let down. The front desk staff was rude to some other guests who had some language issues and they seemed lazy. For example, the lobby had a water dispenser with fruit infusion, supposedly. The problem was it was empty of water when we arrived and still empty at 10 and 5:30 in morning. Restaurant was very nice but they need to bring food out hot not lukewarm. Waiter was a very nice guy and i tipped him well. Nice overall facility. They placed me in a handicapped room and I am not handicapped thereby denying a handicapped person a room and I like baths which the handicapped room does not have. Nice and close to airport

surprised at paying daily for oarking

Posted 9-Feb-2016
I specifically searched for a hotel that included parking with the hotel rate. When I showed up and was told I have to pay daily I was not happy at all. One of the perks of getting a hotel on tower is just that. I live in steamboat springs and more often than not I have early flight and utilize a hotel w park and stay. So this was not good news for me. Will not stay again nor recommend as there was no effort at desk to remedy this situation.

Chirping smoke detector

Posted 5-Feb-2016
Pros: Proximity, great restaurant "DeCicco's " near by, nice decor. Wonderful flavored cold water in lobby.
Cons: Housekeeping and maintenance. And front desk. Although Don was very helpful and pleasant. Hi Donnie!!!
Location: DiCicco's, downtown, Red Rocks - we visited all and a family wedding within 24 hours.
Short story- don't stay in room 230 here. Long story- checked in headed out. Came back 10 pm to find 3 sets of towels for 4 ppl reservation and smoke alarm chirping. Maintenance "fixed" alarm, more towels, went to sleep...until about 4 am when alarm started chirping again. When we advised front desk of problem about 8 am, we got "sure, no problem, I'll have someone fix it." Not "I'm sorry, let's get you a new room." Came back around 6 pm because we had early flight next am, had to return car, necessitating early wake up. But we didn't really need it because the smoke alarm started chirping again at 11:30 pm. 4 am visit with the desk clerk - no kind of compensation or amends, or apology, because we booked with Expedia, and Expedia had my money, not Holiday Inn. Had to call manager on Monday, who reiterated the same excuse, apologized, and comped us 5,000 points. (Forgot to advise him about the red crayon and cheezit found under the sofa bed, and some one else's luggage left in the closet. Maybe he'll see it here.) Moral of the story? I will never book with Expedia again. Holiday Inn Denver Airport can do better.
