Located four miles out Stampede Road (from "Into The Wild" fame), EarthSong is above treeline on open tundra, with unobstructed views of the Alaska Range. It's the perfect spot for guests who wish for a quiet, spectacular place to sleep, and have accommodations that are more than just a bed and bathroom. Log cabins are well-apportioned and have modern conveniences, spaced for privacy. On-site guests can enjoy some extra amenities, such as our coffeehouse, evening slide presentations, and our very popular daily sled dog kennel tours where you can see some of the dogs that we use to guide guests deep into the park in the winter months. EarthSong is for the visitor that wants just a bit more from their visit. Two-Bedroom cabins have two small bedrooms, living room, and bathroom. One bedroom has a queen bed, other bedroom has a raised double bed with twin trundle underneath. Living room has a double sleeper sofa. This cabin is the best option for families of five or couples traveling together. Cabin has a private porch overlooking the Alaska Range. Each cabin has bathroom with modern facilities, individual hot water heater, nice towels, extra pillows, and more to make your stay comfortable. Cabins are also insulated and heated for the cooler nights. All cabins have either private or shared porches. While there are no cooking facilities in the cabins, there is a shared kiosk where guests have access to fridge and microwave. Most cabins are log, all hand-built and unique, and have nice mix of authentic and comfort, with a high level of cleanliness. They were willing to help us however we needed, going beyond expectations to ensure we had a great stay. The stories that are part of the lodge enriched our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the log cabin ambience while there. Earthsong was a great little property. The road was paved all the way to and past the property making it easy to get drive to. Check in process was a breeze with the key and additional info left in the mailbox when we arrive later in the evening. Rooms were just as described and contained everything we needed. The general manager was great and informed us on what to do in the area and also helped us out in making breakfast at the coffee shop they also have on property. It was fairly tight for that many people, but we enjoyed the scenic venue and the rustic atmosphere. The coffee house next door was excellent and the onsite personnel were friendly and attentive. There is also a large yurt on the property that contains a nice library and a game area.We had plenty of hot water and the beds were very comfortable. The view from the two bedroom cabins is amazing as you look at the mountain range from the front door. There was a lot of wildlife in the area and we saw moose, fox, and the neighborhood squirrel was on our porch every morning. It was a nice quiet place to explore the area.They had discontinued the nightly slideshow and the sled dogs were not available during our visit. If that's important to you, you should check on the availability before you book.
