Within a short drive, discover the beautiful hikes of Tallulah Gorge and Toccoa Falls, enjoy one of the many wineries or breweries nearby… or stay on property where you can tube, kayak, paddle or fish right from your private riverbank. While fully renovated and contemporary, River Bend gives nods to a retro hunting lodge with its traditional log construction. An impressively large fireplace crafted from local stone greets you as you step into the living room, surrounded with comfy furniture for lingering with friends. The fully equipped kitchen includes a water filtration system, and a large pantry and is accompanied by a custom dining table to seat ten people. There is also a ten-person dining table on the elevated back porch if you prefer dining outdoors in the fresh mountain air. From the three porches, enjoy beautiful views of the river, the woodsy trail, and the forested foothills beyond. The back porch and entertainment deck both have westward/sunset views for a fantastic view every evening to enjoy gorgeous sunsets! The ground-level space, referred to as “Rainy Day Revival” for its ability to turn any rainy day into a good time, is reminiscent of a park ranger station with a speakeasy twist. It is outfitted with all the necessities including a regulation size pool table, dart board, board games table, and cozy movie nook with a 70” TV. A Full Basement dehumidifier system in set up to keep you comfortable and relaxed! Bring the whole family as the home is designed with our younger guests in mind. Booking was super easy and the communication was quick and friendly! Check in was a breeze and the property has just about everything you need (toiletries, dishes, detergent, towels, etc)The cabin is in a BEAUTIFUL location with great views of the mountains and river. The river is also accessible by a short, private trail from the cabin. The cabin is technically 3 levels with a surprising amount a space! There’s enough room for the whole family and we absolutely LOVED the basement! It was set up like a whole other house down there with a huge living space, big TV, Pool table, full bathroom, two big beds, darts, a sitting table, and had its own deck with a hot tub! The family loved spending the evenings downstairs. The only couple of complaints/suggestions I’d make is that the beds and pillows are VERY firm so we had a bit of trouble getting comfortable at night to go to sleep. The cabin is beautifully updated in certain areas but it does still have some wear and tear and weak spots in certain places but nothing major. I’d also suggest maybe adding a small refrigerator in the basement to go along with the theme down there of having it all. It looks like more updates to this property are possibly in the works already so I can’t wait to see what else gets added! We will definitely be back! The only thing that kept me from giving it a 5 was definitely the hard uncomfortable beds but everything else was great! ##### Adrieana B. The cabin was very modern, but still felt like we were in the mountains. I would describe it as Rustic Chic! The style reminded me of the cabin from the hit show Virgin River! The house was very spacious. The main floor is very accessible for someone with mobility issues. The teens loved the bottom floor! We loved the privacy of the master suite upstairs! The hot tub is very spacious, and a great way to watch the sunset ! My sons loved the river front fishing. ( It is a small hike, down hill so not handicap accessible). They caught many large catfish. The cabin surroundings are very quiet, and you have no problem hearing the sounds of nature from the pretty view.
