Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. This ground floor corner unit is a 1 (queen) bedroom, 1 bathroom condo within steps of the National Forest. You can hear the waters of the Nooksack River from the back patio. Just out the back door is a trail to the river, a charcoal BBQ, and nearby clubhouse with pool and hot tub. This condominium apartment has the best location in the entire community. It is not only quiet and private, but the nearby forest keeps the unit cool in the warm summer months. In the winter, the wood burning fireplace (we provide one bundle of wood) with rock hearth will keep you warm inside as you watch movies on the HDTV in the living room. Additional firewood may be purchased at the Snowater office during business hours. The fully stocked kitchen has new appliances (all electric) and there is also a washer and dryer for doing laundry during your stay. This unit also has free WIFI. Snowater Community The options are inexhaustible for your next adventure while at Snowater. The Pacific Northwest is the ideal place to bring a sense of equanimity to your vacation and delve back into nature. Snowater Community Club has 2 club houses available to guests that includes 2 heated indoor year-round pools with Jacuzzi hot tubs, a Cedar Sauna, a Fitness Room with free weights and machines, Children’s Playroom, Billiards and Ping Pong game room, Squash and Racquetball courts, Seasonal Basketball and Tennis courts, Playground and outdoor gas firepit. Throughout this 20-acre mountain paradise, is numerous charcoal BBQ’S for grilling, paths and trails for hiking and access to 1,000+ feet of Nooksack Riverfront. \*Snowater Resort has four EV chargers available for owners and guests. This is offered for a $10/per charge fee. Please arrange use of the charger with the Snowater Resort office. Important Notes: This Unit requires a short walk from the parking lot on a lighted gravel path to the end unit. There are also a few steps along the way. Nature: This home is located in a rainforest near the base of a mountain. We have critters both large and small that we share the land with. From Ants to bats, mice and raccoons to Bears and Bobcats, we do everything possible to keep them outside. Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as it looks like a free meal for the wildlife. Technology:WiFI and Cellular Service: Due to the remote location, cable TV, cellular service, and high-speed internet are not available. The home has free WIFI and a smart TV for streaming your favorite subscription channels. There's also cell phone service near Mt Baker ski area. Wi-Fi is DSL and ranges between 4-9 mbps depending on the time of day and how many people are online. \*\*Internet service in the Mt. Baker area experiences intermittent outages and these circumstances are beyond our control. Our area is limited to one service provider and we appreciate your understanding with the following policy: We are unable to offer a refund for accommodations based on WIFI outages, speed or disruptions. Weather: The mountains provide us with so much to offer, but predictable weather is not one of them. Please be prepared for all types of severe weather from excess heat in the summer to heavy rains in the Spring & Fall and Snow and Ice in the winter. It is highly recommended that you bring a 4-wheel or All wheel drive vehicle in the winter. Due to the potential harsh weather, power outages and internet outages happen from time to time and are out of our control. We do not issue any refunds for loss of power or internet. Please prepare for all types of weather when visiting the mountains. Groceries: Large grocery runs should be done in Bellingham (about 45 min away). There are a handful of small mom and pop grocery stops along Mt Baker Highway and we are happy to make recommendations. Restaurants are extremely limited and are not always open during the slower seasons. Please come prepared with provisions. \*Pets are NOT allowed at this property. Parking: Luxury Getaways is required to register ALL vehicles that will be staying on the Snowater property. You will be given a parking permit for each registered vehicle. We had a little glitch at the outset because we couldn't get onto wifi. Since had no cell service, we had to drive back to the office (about a mile or two) to get the password which had changed -- and also to get the wood that had been promised for the fireplace. We were at Snowater condo 307\. 1) Did not enjoy seeing the mouse trap on the floor in the living room 2) Furthermore, did not like seeing the mouse running around the living room 3) Looked under the mattress on the corner and saw a dried blood stain on the spring frame cover 4) Relaxed on the leather couch using the couch pillows. Withing minutes started scratching my skin and head scalp. There’s lots to do and we loved sitting by the river. We were glad we brought beach chairs. Not all the lights worked so the unit was dark. We were thankful to be on the end so we had some natural light from the window seat. The floors and bed were creaky. Really loud listening to the people walk around above us. When we got there the garbage was full so we had to take care of that ourselves. The WiFi didn’t work. There were lots of racquet sports available but there were no balls or they were so beat up they didn’t work. We would come again because the location was so great! It has a ton of potential! The cabin is beautiful and perfect for a couple. The cabin was very clean and tidy, and the woods surrounding the area were beautiful to walk around. We stayed here to enjoy skiing up at Mt. Very minimal silverware and dishes and glasses. For example, two table knives, two wine glasses. Dishwasher had a missing wheel in the lower tray which interfered with opening and closing the dishwasher. Ran out of hand soap in the bathroom sink. Great location with a good energy & we really enjoyed our surroundings. (Nature -river, Forrest, remoteness, etc) It was close to the Ski hill which is what we wanted. The 4 star out of 5 was because of a bunch of little things. Dec 18, 2018 #### Clean tidy place with some quirks Overall a good experience, took some getting used to moving around in such a tiny kitchen, but there were ample kitchen utensils and the setup was nice. This place is friendly for people who go to and from the mountain with its nice entrance/ mud room, drying area and plenty of heaters. One big drawback though, I received not one, not two, but three major splinters while I was there from the different wood products around the house. One big one under the fingernail from the door jam where the door lock hits the wood when it closes, one in my foot from the rustic wood coffee table and one (unrelated to property) from the fireplace wood. The bathroom is super tiny and the door has been removed for reasons unknown. It has also been painted a weird green color which made my skin look yellow under the refracted light. Overall we had a great experience, signed the book and enjoyed our stay. Missing the fifth star for the reasons above, but I would be happy to stay again. Great place, very quiet and close to the river with an easy commute to the ski area. Also, the access to Netflix and Hulu was a great touch and was much appreciated, as the typical stash of board games and puzzles is pretty sparse at this property. ##### brandon s.
