"Stay on the backside of hotel or on the 1st or 2nd level to avoid the interstate traffic noise. I was up on the top floor on the front side and heard a lot of motor cycle noise and semi’s starting at 5 am all five mornings. Breakfast and staff were good. I have stayed on the 2nd floor on the front side twice before and never heard the highway noise before, must of been because I was on the top floor and didn’t have any trees blocking the noise."

"So nice to my new puppy. Very pleasant/comfortable. Extra helpful staff. Good location. Good breakfast. Could sit outside at night by fire it and order s'mores, if inclined."
Ramada Hotel & Convention Center by Wyndham Topeka Downtown
6/10 Okay
"You can tell that this hotel was probably amazing back in the day! But as for today, the hotel is dated. The main area really is neat, but immediately shows it's age when you realize how much of it is no longer used or maintained (restaurants, ballrooms, elevators, etc). You have to walk past the main atrium area to walk down two long hallways passing elevators that do not work and closed off ballroom/convention areas to get to the one singular elevator that does work but it is small and is the only one in use. It felt like being in the backrooms. This did not seem like a one time issue. They had sturdy signs showcasing the route to the small elevator acting like this is a long term or permanent issue. Once on our floor (seventh), the hallway to our room was hot and our room had trouble cooling during our stay. The room was nothing crazy to talk about. The bed was not super comfy - lumpy. Breakfast was in the main atrium area - hot and cold food was offered. It was just fine. The staff was kind and helpful. It would be super cool to see this place get a nice renovation or face lift! The bones are great, it just needs a lot of love. At the moment, it is okay for one night, but I wouldn't stay longer than that in its current state."
"The lobby, bar and restaurant are nice but the rooms are outdated. The AC doesn't work correctly (we had a portable AC unit in the second room we requested, first one AC wasn't working at all) and they weren't very clean. There was stuff splattered on the walls around the trash can that hadn't been wiped off and the occasional chair looked dingy and old. Bed was ok but in a double room, they are only full size, not queen and the pillows were lumpy. There were no extra towels (only 2 of everything in a double room) and the "handicap" room was a bathtub with rails and a pedestal sink. Not exactly handicap IMO and no room to lay out makeup or hot tools to get ready and fix hair. Will not be staying here again."
