Very comfortable hotel right on the Mussorie mall

Posted 31-Oct-2014
Pros: Layout , service levels
Cons: Driver accommodation and some more fun & games for kids
Location: All shop on the Mall are very cl ose by. The market is quite attractive with value for money items to buy. Lal Tibba and Gun Hill are also close by.
The rooms were quite spacious and service was excellent. Also the decor is exquisite. There's ample space to walk around and have a bonfire. Tariffs slightly on the expensive side but in balance a great experience.

Fabulous Stay

My stay at Golden Palms was nothing less than a luxurious getaway from usual. The staff was courteous and polite. These guys need to improve the quality of b'fast but it was manageable. Overall a good property.

Mal servicio

Hace falta calidad en el servicio, no es un lugar para descansar. El spa no es lo máximo, pero es lo único rescatable.

Great place to chill out

Posted 23-Jun-2013
Pros: English Garden
Cons: The leaky roof and the non-existence of a covered area to enjoy the beauty of the hills even while its raining Cs&Ds.
Location: a 5-star for the guys who are not coming to Mussoorie only to catch up on Reading!!!
The monsoons are a dreadful time to be in this hotel. I was there in mid-June 2013. The roof leakages are almost everywhere-be it the Restaurant or Hanging Garden-just save your plate so that your toast does not become soggy! The manpower is trained very well. They are smart guys who are adequately trained to brace-up with the ever-smarting Dilliwallahs-who drive in their SUVs at the faintest hint of an extended weekend. The room rates are fine given their huge locational advantage-close to the Mall(to take care of the ladies' shopping pangs) as well as close to nature on the garden side(The English Garden is a huge PULL for this property). The executive rooms are a wee bit cramped. The Valley-facing ones may be fine but they come with a biggish premium. You will do well to stay here, just make sure that you google the weather forecast for the days of your stay before booking. I must disclose here that I did not-and paid for it. As a disclaimer I must add here that the monsoons this time were somewhat early and very severe(The Uttarakhand devastation has caught all eye-balls). Even the locals were surprised by the 10-11degree Celsius in mid-June. This was my 2nd consecutive stay at the same property-so take it with a pinch of salt!!!

Over priced, joke it was a 4 star property

Posted 26-Jul-2012
Pros: Absolute Nothing
Cons: Everything
Location: In the photos you see that they have good view. But it was full of waste and very bad view.
The place was not clean according to the expectation. Staff had laid back attitude. I dont recommend this hotel to anyone. Never ever go there.
