We chose this house as it has three bathrooms and three bedrooms. .The best feature of the house was the open concept kitchen, dining and living rooms that featured a whole wall of windows with gorgeous views of the sunrises and Thompson cove. The kitchen is large and well equipped. The spacious house is very private down a dirt road surrounded by woods. Also close to the bridge that takes you off the island. Upon our arrival, the owner was quick to respond to questions. We stayed in the home for seven weeks and were responsible for disposing of our garbage at the local dump for the duration of our stay - very disappointing and not the norm for extended rentals. While the internet service was good with fast speeds, the router was very finicky and required rebooting multiple times a week. There is a separate building on the property, right in front of the main house, which we assumed was a detached garage. About halfway through our stay, we realized someone was staying there. We were never told there could be other people staying on the property, it is not mentioned in the listing nor is the building shown in photos. We found the situation uncomfortable. ##### Kimberly O. We also got a call from the owner a few days before we arrived just to make sure the house was set up to our needs and to offer some advice for the local attractions. Very helpful. Nice yard for playing with the kids. Only piece of advice for those who need a dark room to sleep - bring a sleeping mask as the Eastern sun will get you up bright and early! And t's a beautiful sunrise over Eggemoggin Reach. The house also has a mooring - we rented a nice 19' Boston Whaler from Buck's Marina for most of our stay and had a wonderful time on the reach and travelling to MDI and Castine.
