Deauville is a charming coastal town located on the Côte Fleurie, in the department of Calvados in Normandy, in northwestern France. It is famous for its fine sandy beaches, beautiful villas, casino, horse racing and American Film Festival. The city offers many tourist activities for visitors, including a walk on the beach, visiting the famous wooden "boards" bordering the beach, discovering its Belle Époque architecture, tasting fresh seafood in its many restaurants, and practicing water sports such as sailing, kitesurfing or paddle. Deauville is also an ideal starting point for exploring the region's tourist attractions, such as the landing beaches, the historic towns of Honfleur and Bayeux, and the famous Mont Saint-Michel.
