The hotel didn’t honor the late check out you advertised in your hotel description. We had to pay an additional charge of $20 to stay for an extra 2 hours. We booked this hotel because Expedia included a late checkout in the nightly price.

Our stay was good as far as location and parking. Unfortunately we found 3 bugs in the bathroom. Also the 2nd elevator wasn’t working. I wouldn’t recommend this place. Also the cafe isn’t good food. I will not be staying here again.

Room conditions were great - big room, nice views (corner room had 2 windows facing west and north). Outdoor pool area was clean however the pool isn’t heated, so makes it hard to enjoy in the spring when the sun goes behind the building. Indoor pool area needs major upgrades and TLC. However, beach access was a plus and the staff were friendly.

Everything was clean, except some ceiling tiles in the bathroom. Room smelled nice. Was only concerned because of some rat traps I noticed behind the fridge and a dresser in the room. They were pulled out a little far and I checked behind them to make sure there wasn't a reason and I could push them back and noticed two traps. Saw complaints about roaches but didn't see any in my room. All in all was a good stay. Staff was friendly and it was peaceful during my stay.

There was one night clerk that wasn't so friendly. But other than that had a great time. The maid service was great. The restaurant downstairs was had very friendly staff. The food was great.

The management is lazy and not welcoming. The hotel is dirty, pool area is not clean, no towels, no vending, and anyone can walk through the unlocked pool doors. Would not recommend this spot, even for a desperate night.

Having a kitchenette was great. The refrigerator, microwave, sink were all spotless, as if they were brand new. The bathroom looked as though it was newly remodeled alway hot water ! Beds were clean and comfortable. You could put your clothing inside the dresser drawers. Sandra should be commemorated for a great job keeping the room clean! We would definitely stay again.

Room was so small, run down and felt dirty. Back door was broken and bathroom door was broken. There was hair all over bathroom. Old pieces of fruit and grapes were on the floor behind night stand. We could not get out fast enough. Was 2 miles to walk to boardwalk area. The only positives was room was quiet and had a nice view of ocean.

When we lifted the blankets both beds bag large urine stains. There were candy sticks on the floor. Staff very rude non-apologetic did not even try and help us with the reimbursement. And they wouldn’t even let us stay to make the phone call.

Hall way smelled like mildew and the room was filled strangers hair , all on towels that are supposed to be clean . Couch had stains and door did not look supportive . Looked like someone has tried to break in the door with scratches on the door . Again smell of the hotel was horrible

This was an emergency last minute reservation. Daytona hotels in general are not very nice. We were pleasantly surprised. Our room was updated, clean and good amenities. For the average price, I would stay there again. The staff was friendly and helpful. Note, even though I gave it 5 stars, it’s not the Ritz lol. But a good, clean place to bring your kids. Our room had a kitchenette which was not expected (or used).

Another EXCELLENT stay at Tropical Winds. I have stayed her many times, and I’ve always been highly satisfied. The front desk staff to the maintenance and house keepers are always pleasant. The rooms not only smell clean but are clean, all of them that I’ve stayed in have had great AC that’ll freeze you out. This is definitely one of my favorite hotels in Daytona. I highly recommend staying here.
