It was just okay. I was expecting a window or sliders in the bedroom but a wall was put over them. The room was so dark with no natural light. The pictures definitely make it seem better than it is in person.

Hello Nancy, I'm sorry to hear that a cabin with a back bedroom, which has no sunlight to shine through. We have several room types, most of them have sliding glass doors in the Livingroom and bedrooms. I hope you enjoyed the main room which has a million-dollar view of the beach and ocean. Great Location and Beach Access
Overall I would rate this property 4/5. Check-In process was a nightmare, rec’d email severa days prior that we could check in from 5-8pm. Arrived at 7:02p and no one was there, called number on lock box and was told they did not have my info that I was checking in and I would need to wait 30-40 minutes for someone to call me back that could probably help. Waited 15 min and called back and a diff representative answered that helped me right away. Overall the 1 bedroom/studio was great. Murphy bed was really comfortable. The pool area and amenities were closed so could only go to the beach. But overall would probably stay here again and try my best to arrive before front desk closes at 5p

We are always open until 8:PM, but because of Staffing challenge the Office Closed early. Again, I am very sorry for your inconvenience, but otherwise we are happy you were able to put that behind you and enjoyed your vacation. Hope to see you again soon. We are working very diligently to get the seawall and pool deck repaired and back open.

The staff was friendly and attentive upon arrival. I received a call that week about the pool and beach access being closed. I had no idea about the destruction that took place at the beach. It would have been nice to receive that call weeks earlier so I could have made other plans if I wanted. Receiving that info last minute gave me no options. Also, there seems to be a lack of communication between Expedia and the properties about such matters. The pool closure was mentioned on their personal website (I was told) but no mention on the Expedia site.

Hello Tamorah, I so sorry to hear that you were not notified of our pool deck and pool closure due to the destruction we received by the two hurricanes. It has been our protocol to inform each in-bound of these closures. I hope you had a chance to relax on the upper pool deck and or walk to the beach entrance and enjoy the beautiful sunny weather as well as enjoying a clean, well-stocked with amenities and a beautiful view from your balcony. I was told on the day before you left, you inquired about getting a refund. You should go back to Expedia as you booked through them. If you had informed us on the day you arrived, we would have tried to relocate you at another resort. But please keep an open mind, that about 90% of those who have swimming pools are not in operation due to the destruction of the beach fronts. All Outside agencies had been notified of these closures so that there are no surprised when you arrive. I hope you give us another chance.

Amazing vacation on the beach front
Property is located very conveniently right on the shore. Views are amazing. We had large room with pull out sofa bed and Murphy bed that opens from the wall. Sleeping on the sofa bed was a little uncomfortable. Staff was very pleasant. The real concern was that staff does not work late hours on the weekends. We were driving from Canada and arrived late on Sunday. The front desk lady was leaving and she saw us arriving the last moment and gave us instructions how to open safe deposit box. The answering service was not helpful at all to answer the questions we had. Something needs to be changed about paying for the staff for longer hours on the weekends or to better instruct answering service. Kitchen was very good, felt like at home. The only problem there was no iron in the room and ironing board, you have to ask. Staff was friendly. No towels exchange on Saturday, I guess no staff in the laundry room, this needs to be addressed. Towels needed to be exchanged daily! Otherwise, we had an excellent vacation and will be back! In all rooms view is amazing to the ocean. Thank you, all the staff and Management at Sea Club 4!

Loved the rooms and beach accessability. The only complaint would be charging for lost room keys and paying even more if you lost the key after a certain time of the day.

The maintenance crew was amazing. We had a couple of small issues (TV, sliding glass door) and maintenance was there within 10 minutes and fixed the issues immediately. This was the best crew I have ever encountered.

Had to do our own linen and towel exchange, maids walked in one day during our stay thinking the room was empty, neighbors smoking weed. And tried to cancel one day through Expedia then called hotel twice and the last day was never removed. So paid for one day that we were not there

Dear Anonymous, I am deeply sorry for the way you felt about being spoken to regarding having an infant in the adult pool with an infant float. Sea Club IV Resort is a Timeshare Property, unlike hotels and motels, we are governed by a set of documents, which include a Declaration, By-laws and yes Rules and Regulations. Within the Rules and Regulations that are acknowledged with your initials. The only flotation device that can be used in the adult pool is a noodle. We do not have a lifeguard on duty and do not want to take on huge liability challenges should something happen. You were not singled out as this applies to all families with infants, that is why we have a Kiddie Pool? Sorry to hear that one of our Housekeepers walked into your cabin unannounced, I sure hoped they knocked first and announced themselves as that is one of our protocols prior to entering a cabin. Regarding your next-door neighbor smoking weed, we are a Smoke Free Property, we do not tolerate anyone smoking or vaping anywhere on the property other than the with two designated outdoor smoking areas which are out of guest sight. Was this reported to the Front Desk? Because you made your reservations through Expedia, you must deal with them should you want to shorten your stay and want a refund. I do hope you will give us another chance and revisit us in the future.

Great family getaway
We really enjoyed our 3 nights at this property - it isn't fancy, but everything was clean and working and laid out well. Every room is ocean view with a connected balcony and the pool area is very nice - plenty of chairs and tables with umbrellas. The lobby is closed because of Covid which I don't really understand, but you could usually get someone to respond to the bell when you needed them and everyone was very friendly.

Very good experience for the 4-days we stayed. Good location. No visitors are permitted unless they stay overnight and were registered so we could not show our family member where we were staying but we understood and followed the rules. Coffee pot was broken but management immediately replaced it. We would stay there again. Bathroom is located by the front door/kitchen area and bedroom was located at the other end of the unit.

I liked the view of the water. I didn’t like the list of ridiculous and fees for simple things like replacing a key. An electronic key to replace is 25.00 the couch bed had huge stains on it almost like it was bled into. And the main bed was hard as a rock. Avoid this place if you can.

Room was fine. Hotel staff could be a little more pleasant - not only were we pushed aside for a much older lady at check in but we were also scolded about removing any trash or cleaning any dishes before leaving (probably because we were younger and had kids but I didn’t think it necessary to state the same thing multiple times in a condescending manner). We definitely paid an awful lot to have to take out our own trash and replace any towels or linens during our stay. There’s zero maid service from what I gathered. We probably won’t stay again as it was pricey and didn’t love the pool or the beach location.

Hello Just eh, Thank you taking the time to share your vacation experience. I am very sorry to hear that you were pushed aside in order for the Front Desk to help an elderly women. It is not our mission to be selective with how goes first. I have reviewed this with the Front Desk as this is not how we operate. Just a FYI, we are not a hotel as you mentioned, we are a Timeshare Resort which has over 1,800 owners. Everyone is responsible for taking out their trash, putting their dirty dishes in the dishwasher and starting it prior to your departure. We do not provide maid service and all owners and guest come to the Laundry Room to exchange their dirty linen for clean fresh linen. Again, I am sorry that you didn't like our heated pool and to have the beach no more than 10 yds. from the pool. Perhaps you might enjoy the mountains instead of an ocean front timeshare property and stay in a Hotel instead of a Timeshare.

We really enjoyed everything about the stay. Location was great. Having the full kitchen was very nice and economical cooking breakfast and a few dinners over eating out. From talking to other guest, I'd keep it to adults, not exactly kid friendly. My only complaint is as a smoker, you are almost second class. Not to be able to smoke on a ocean view balcony is absurd. Having to go from the fifth floor to the designated smoking spot is enough for me to not stay there again.

I'm sorry you got hung up on the "Pool Talk" as we are very kid friendly, that is providing the parents control their children as we are a Timeshare property with rules and regulations that all families are required to follow. Over the years we went from No Smoking in the cabins to smoking on the balconies, but again overtime the smokers (as you call yourself) would disturb others who were affected by the smoke coming into there cabins, not all but some would just flick their butt onto the pool deck , put them out on the balcony floors etc. Due a few, rather than go smoke free 100%, we created (2) smoking areas for any smoker to enjoy. If you ever change your mind and or quit smoking, we would love to have you come back. Stay Safe and be well.

My husband and I took our six year old daughter to Daytona beach shores and we stayed at the Sea Club IV. I was overall extremely happy with this hotel/time share service because even though we got there at the end of spring break, it was much less crowded in this area AND we were able to stay directly on the beach. We stayed on the fifth floor in a studio that could sleep up to four...with a huge comfortable bed, and pull out couch that my six year old did not want to get out of! I also want to add that the woman behind the desk (I wish I knew her name) was absolutely amazing! Every time we came down the elevator, she knew exactly how to make the little ones feel special. In a few months when we take the kids to Disney, I will definitely be staying here again! Thank you Sea Club IV for giving us the most perfect vacation!!

Excellent Vacation
We had a wonderful time. The condo was beautiful, the staff including the front desk manager and the hotel manager were very friendly and helpful. Our views of the beach were amazing. Our children loved the pools and the location is close to shopping. The only suggestion I would have is to replace the carpet in the bedroom or have it cleaned.

Great location on beach, clean and roomy.
Booked this hotel after an AIRBNB fail. Great price, great place, great staff. Only complaint was elevator was extremely slow. The staff was super accomadating, the rooms were clean and roomy. Would definately stay again.

They didn't have my Expedia reservation - said they were sold out then found a room - problem was we ended up in a queen Murphy bed which wasn't what I booked. Older rooms - not the Taj but super clean. Murphy bed was not comfy and not room I booked. Kind of annoyed by asking me to join for timeshare and then 3 calls during my stay for timeshare in my room. One was them but 2 others they claim were scams. All and all for $89 you won't find such a clean room with full kitchen but maybe go to Raddison for $89 and free breakfast then find cheap eats. Won't deny the beach access was great, small pool but super clean. This wasn't my style but for folks on limited budget it is clean and fully stocked kitchen. Cindy
