The room was clean, and was refreshed the second day which was a pleasant surprise. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel seemed pretty full each night but was yet quiet. Breakfast was the usual hot options, biscuits (which were overcooked that day) and sausage gravy (which actually had sausage!), a pre-made omelet which was okay, and some sausage and pancakes. The food quickly went cold once removed from warmer, though. They need to upgrade the silverware from the really cheap plastic ones to something that will actually work! The only other complaint is that we couldn't keep the fan on constantly in the room as we usually can at other hotels. It helps avoid stuffiness and the noise helps with sleep. We will stay there anytime we are in the Dayton area.

The air conditioning unit was so freaking noisy in our room we couldn't sleep. We arrived late and were very tired from driving for 10 hours we just wanted to sleep. We didn't realize how LOUD the unit was until we were already in bed. Very disappointed and then when we went to make coffee there was no water for the coffee. No bottled water anymore in the rooms? Since when.....

Holiday Inn Express is not a full service hotel, we do not offer bottles of water in the room like Holiday Inn which is a full service hotel. The unit in the room might be loud to you but the unit meets IHG standards. Holiday Inn vs Holiday Inn Express is different and I believe you are needing more of a full service. Holiday Inn brand have more a central air unit which is very quite. Also please book direct so we can accommodate more at the front desk if needed. They gave me a nice car, but the seat was broken so they switched me to a different car that was dirty and smelly. It did have the Sirius I requested. They didn't offer to compensate on the charges.

Great hotel with a view
This is a great hotel off the beaten path. Beautiful view of the hills and mountains. Rooms are clean. Everything worked. The breakfast was awesome. The older woman who worked evening for check in was amazing. Friendly and professional. Overall an awesome stay!

Watch out forcthe hotel up charge!
When arriving was informed had to pay3.18% credit card convenience fee because I used Hotels.com to book. I don’t understand since I paid hotels.com and not the hotel, if anything shouldn’t that be charged by hotels.com? If this is the case, hotels.com should inform you on their website of the upcharge. Was informed if was not collected the clerk would have to pay for entire room. Hotel and room was clean but mattress was terrible! Disappointed in Holiday Inn for allowing the above to take place.

I was on a book now pay at property. The property charged for room way before I got there so it wasn’t book now pay at property. Upon entering our room, we turned on the TV only to find the programming was on very inappropriate channel and wasn’t able to change to anything else. We had a minor child with us also. We called front desk and the lady from front desk (the only one working the whole place) came and could not get the TV to change off inappropriate channels so she moved us to another room. I was very disappointed in this place. It was in a good location. The front desk lady was very helpful. But overall, I will not stay here again.

This hotel is a beautiful, clean, safe, and friendly location that is off the highway. Stopped by on a longer trip and the staff is so friendly (even when we checked in at midnight) and are very helpful. The breakfast is clean and well-stocked. Rooms are clean, quiet, and well-kept (there is a little wear and tear that is within reason). Did not expect to be so pleased with this property and my stay here.

The property is conveniently located to everything in Dayton, TN. The customer service is awful, though. I originally called to book the room directly because we needed to add rollaway beds to our reservation. The desk clerk was unable to book rooms for us. She didn’t seem to know how to run the computers. After 20 minutes, I asked if it would be easier to book online and then call back to add the rollaway bed and she said yes. Very frustrating! I rented two rooms for multiple nights and one room clearly had a ventilation issue. It was humid and musty smelling. The carpet and bedding felt damp for all three days. We wondered if there were some flooding issues on level two. We were denied a room change. We also requested a rollaway bed prior to checking in and were told it would be in the room. Then the front desk person said she never agreed to that and asked if we could come get the bed because she was too busy. We retrieved our own bed and it was broken. We requested a second rollaway bed and she again asked if we could come get it ourselves; she was busy. The fitness room also had ventilation issues. There was no a/c in there and it smelled so gross and musty. It was so humid, the rubber mat floor would become wet under your shoes or workout mat. The condensation in the floor was a safety hazard in a workout room. The sanitizing wipes were all dried out. On our second night, our room key quit working, as did other guests. They also double booked rooms.

Very pleased with this stay. The shower and supply of shamp/cond/bodywash was better than Disney’s. Exceptionally clean. Breakfast was better than the standard continental (& way better than Hampton). This will be my new go to when traveling.

My family were down to visit family on our vacation. We stayed for 3 nights and felt welcomed and the staff was excellent. The hotel room was clean, beds were comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and plenty of choices. Free parking. We didn’t swim due to the pool being freezing cold. Overall we enjoyed our stay!
