And just 10 minutes from Timberline Ski Resort. In our two years of welcoming guests we've received only 5-star reviews, and we feel this is a direct result of our dedication to delivering a premium experience to our guests across all aspects of their stay. This is your opportunity for a private and luxurious mountain getaway. Come join us! Walk directly off the property to over 100 miles of hiking trails in Dolly Sods, Canaan National Wildlife Refuge and the brand new 1400 acre Dobbin Slashings Preserve, drive 10 minutes to Timberline Ski Resort, or get on your bike and explore hundreds of miles of single-track trails, railroad grades, and dirt roads. Or, just relax in the deck loungers, sauna, or around the wood-burning stove. At Mountain Laurel, we've also taken care to upgrade all the aspects of your stay, including premium linens and bath products, luxury furniture and mattresses, a cook-ready kitchen stocked with oils and spices, and even firewood for the winter. It was absolutely perfect for 2 families with kids (ages 5-9) skiing at Timberline Mountain (about 10 minutes away) on President's Day weekend. It could easily fit another family. The kids loved being in the bunk room together (4 bunks total), playing fusball, and the Simpsons arcade game. The cabin is brand new and spotlessly clean. All the appliances and fixtures are top quality, including soaps, shampoos and conditioners in each bathroom. There's a huge great room on the main floor perfect for multiple families to eat together and hang out. I loved the coffee maker and bar area next to the kitchen. My wife loved the wood burning stove and the kitchen which has plenty of utensils, cooking items, and other small things that are not often available at most rentals, like sandwich bags for lunches on the mountain. The owners have clearly thought out this beautiful place and have anticipated what guests will both need and appreciate. Did I mention the sauna? This little thing outside next to the cabin can fit 4 adults or a couple of adults and multiple kids, heats up quickly, and is a perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes. The owners were thoughtful and responsive and added small touches for us like leaving a complimentary bottle of desert wine. Just a very satisfactory experience all around.
