Nearby Newburgh Indiana was a charming small river town with good restaurants, coffee houses, and shops. The host and her son were very warm, friendly, and accommodating. The outside does not do the inside justice as it has been restored and while it maintains a lot of the classic features (real hardwood floors in most of the house, original closets, special features) everything has been upgraded. It has new, modern, insulated windows. Plenty of room and two large sitting areas with large, flatscreen TVs. We enjoyed our stay.
