The 5 spots we were allowed by the permit to park to go to the beach, 3 of them were blocked off due to construction and the 4th was too far from the house. On busy street with loud traffic noise. Can see a speck of ocean between 2 houses but most of the "fantastic view" is of all the houses surrounding this one and the street it is on. If you still want to rent it here are directions to the beach since none were provided and there are no signs, so we just had to wander around until we found it: go right out of the driveway and then left on the first street (not court) that you come to. We had to miss the wrestling match first time in 15 years. Tried to get a hold of host. No response. The bed upstairs was very uncomfortable. Can't wait to get back home and get in my own bed. Other than that, it was an overall comfortable stay. It was an adorable house. ##### Sophal M. Furniture was very nice and comfortable, beds left a little bit to be desired.. the only big issue I had was when the code would not let us into the house and it took 15 minutes just to get in touch with someone( automated), I feel like I should have had a contact person on the island, not an automated answering service. Overall, we had a nice trip celebrating my dads 81st birthday, just wish it hadn’t been so cold…..would stay again if we are ever in the need of a home on Dauphin Island.. it’s a WONDERFUL place to be. ##### deborah m.
