Looking for a quiet and family friendly beach vacation rental? Look no further! SURVIVOR HAS IT ALL!!!! “Survivor” appropriately named for its ability to withstand a devastating hurricane has all the comforts of home and more! With five bedrooms and three baths this luxurious beach retreat easily sleeps 14 in its 2,880 ft. of living space! Survivor is perfect for a quiet family vacation, multi-family trips, and even has enough room for the in-laws! Survivor boasts a GREAT kitchen, plenty of space to relax, 2,000 ft. of enormous deck space, beautiful sunsets, and a large beach to enjoy! Survivor is located directly ON THE WATER! The calm and relaxing Mississippi Sound is only footsteps away from the back of the house and the more active Gulf of Mexico just several hundred feet from the front of the house. You really get the best of both worlds with Survivor! Most prefer the backyard beach with its white sandy beaches, calm, cool, and shallow waters! It’s perfect for families with kids and is ideal for swimming and relaxing without having to worry about strong currents, waves, or rip tides. There is a small wetland pond occasionally refreshed by the high tides ideal for catching bait! You can even beach a small boat or Jet Ski right in your own back yard! However if you are in the mood for more active water simply walk across the street to the Gulf side and boogie board, skim board, or body surf in the Gulf of Mexico’s mighty waves! Survivor features a spacious living room with 12’ ceilings, flat screen TV's, DVD's, surround sound, stereo system, and gas fireplace serves as the perfect place to entertain large crowds, view the remarkable sunset, or simply relax with the family. Finding somewhere to sit and eat won’t be a problem in Survivor, there is a custom built dining table that seats ten and bar seats four! Renters love the kitchen! Our fully loaded kitchen houses coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, oven, flat surface stove, assorted pots and pans, silver wear, walk in pantry, dishwasher, plates, cups, and many more! Five spacious bedrooms serve as the perfect place to for crash for the night and lounge about in the morning. Upstairs bedrooms are equipped with deluxe bedding, large walk in closets, TV, and plenty of space to blow up an airbed or set up a cot! The two master bedrooms have access to the upper deck perfect for watching the sunrise or set. Each upstairs bath has its own coffee maker, no need to worry about waking up anyone downstairs!!! Jack and Jill bathrooms connect the four bedrooms upstairs, with an exquisite inside Jacuzzi on one side! 2,000 sq. ft. of deck space encompasses the back of the house. The decks are partially shaded for relaxing and lounging and the other part is ideal for sunning, viewing sunsets, grilling out, and tanning. This was our second stay at this fantastic property, and it won’t be our last. The house is packed with thoughtful amenities that go far beyond the standard rental. The kitchen is especially impressive – it’s fully equipped with everything from a gas burner for a shrimp boil, ceramic charcoal and gas grills, to a fryer, two coffee makers (drip and Keurig), electric can opener, spider utensils, spices, toaster, and an abundance of plates, cups, bowls, and cookware. Perfect for cooking meals for a large group!There are tons of extras that made our beach vacation so much easier and more fun: ice maker (what a life saver!!), gorilla cart (another life saver), beach toys, floaties, beach chairs, umbrellas, bikes, a cooler, and even baby gear for the house or the beach if you need it. The location is ideal – you can fish or relax at the bay just steps away, or head to the public beach. We brought kayaks and launching from the bay was a breeze.Pro tips for future guests: bring your own sharp knives, pantry items, sugar, salt, spices, a nonstick skillet, extra cutting boards, storage containers, and personal coolers/bag coolers for beach days. If you plan to fish, don’t forget your gear and sand spikes. Rent a golf cart and get a parking pass.Carol is an exceptional host – incredibly responsive and proactive about communication. This house is a good size, and the beach is quite pleasant. The jacuzzi tub is nice as is the egg ceramic grill. The hosts are sweet and easy to work with. The house was perfect for our family of 13! The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. for preparing big meals. The shallow water on the sound was great for swimming, floating, and paddle boarding. The Gulf of Mexico was just a short walk away. All the provided beach toys, floats, and beach wagon came in handy. The ice machine was an added bonus. Loved watching the sunrise & sunset from the deck. We hope to come back again. ##### Tammy C. Lost electricity for 10 hours, but Carol and Ed checked on us continually, offering service of any kind we needed. The house has so much space that our family vacation of 6 adults and 1 infant had space to share and space to be alone. The sunset from the deck was beautiful. (and we got to watch dolphins play :) ) The proximity of the ocean (across the street) perfect. ##### Vicki T. We were impressed that the house was well stocked kitchen, utensils bathrooms had plenty of towels and beach towels, humongous ice maker and overflow of beach toys. The bedroom set up is spacious and worked well for us, along with the large dining room table which hosted may laughs! The location on the Sounds Side was perfect for our family with 2 younger children. Location is great for also walking a short distance to access the gulf side of the island. The beach toys and umbrella were a fantastic and appreciated extra! We had a really wonderful stay and made a lifetime of memories for my family. Thank you! ##### April B. The house was very clean and had plenty of room for our two families to spread out. The kids loved playing on the gulf side beach which was only a very short 2 or 3 minute walk away and really loved crabbing on the bay beach where by far the biggest crabs were found. The beach wagon was especially helpful in dragging all their stuff to the gulf beach and the ice maker was a big plus. We didn’t cook much so can’t really comment about cooking equipment. The location is great. There is very little traffic on the road and by being midway down the island everything we needed was quick to drive to. Carol was very responsive and helpful the two times I called with a question. ##### Linda R. The bay behind the house was absolutely perfect. Very short walk to the beach. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to relax and enjoy some family time.
