Nightly rates This beautiful completely remodeled Gulf-front home features gorgeous views of the Gulf of Mexico - just a few steps from the spacious deck to the beach. The home is located on the island-wide bike trail. The two master suites with king beds overlook the Gulf and feature large private baths. Bedroom 3 has a king bed and adjoining full bath. Bedroom 4 has two queens and its own bath, and is perfect for the kids! The open living area is approximately 2150 sq. ft. The well-equipped kitchen has all the amenities of home, with stainless appliances, marble counter tops, a large pantry and lots of cabinet space. There is a wet bar in the living area with 2 beverage coolers. The house features designer furnishings throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plenty of towels and the property was spotless. Check-in after hours was a breeze, as was check-out before hours. Bring what you need as far as spices, laundry detergent, dishwasher detergent and paper products, but the management company sends a recommended list. Everyone had their own sleeping area and bathroom so privacy was well-maintained. The common areas were large and accommodated our families needs. Proximity to the beach was spot on - just step outside basically. So nice, not crowded, clean - the perfect spot for us! After 2 of the 3 had finished summer school, on this trip they were content to hang out on the beach and spend evenings at the house. They went crabbing, made smoothies, and worked puzzles! When we arrived we were a bit bummed that the ocean looked like chocolate milk (no fault to anyone, we know), but we were a little disappointed. House has a great main living space that fit 12 of us perfectly. 4 days in we did have some visitors (hello, roaches), but really the place seemed clean. We stayed at the house most of the time only because there is literally NOTHING to do in Dolphin Island. We struggled to find a decent restaurant and one day got Rainbow Pizza that cost us almost $60 for 4 pizzas. The home itself is very warm and inviting and didn't feel like a "vacation rental" at all. It felt more like staying in a friend's home. The view from the deck is beautiful. This is a family friendly home in a nice quiet location offering easy and quick access to the beach and ocean. We stayed with our four children and the grandparents, and had a lovely little getaway. The shops nearby are quaint and have an authentic feel that we prefer to the atmosphere of Gulf Shores. Booking and payment were a breeze and we had no major issues with the house. I would recommend this property to family and friends and will likely book either this house, or another from the same management company for our next retreat. Don't miss Skinner's Seafood, The Lighthouse Bakery, and (if you want the best crab claws around) make a little trip up to The Lighthouse Restaurant in Irvington.
