Great view. Not too long of a walk to the beach (definitely glad we brought a cart to carry stuff). The community pools and hot tub were great. Couches and beds were all comfortable. We appreciated the packet left by the management company that provided dish soap, a sponge, detergent, and laundry soap. If you're shorter- definitely bring a step stool, as the master bed is high. The kitchen was decently equipped, but didn't have oven mitts or a regular sized baking pan. Not a spice in sight- it would have been nice if there had been any condiments or even salt and pepper. The beach was clean, beautiful and peaceful. The walk is no joke! Be prepared to make the hike but it’s worth it! The condo was clean and mostly comfy. The master bedroom bed is a little squeaky and lumpy but not enough of an inconvenience to affect our trip or the 5 star rating this condo and location deserves! We rented bikes from Salty Dog Rentals and road everywhere. The fort and the aquarium were great as well as the bird sanctuary. We had a great fishing trip on the duke and had crab legs a couple of times at capt snappers by the marina. Definitely recommend capt snappers and pirates. We didn’t care for islanders at all. Dockside was good but nothing amazing. Overall, we loved holiday isle and dauphin island. We can’t wait to come Back!! ##### Kasey S. Pools and amenities were nice. The only issue was the keys not working and no response to my email. After 2 days we were down to one working key out of 4\. While the condo met expectations there were some glitches with the property that were unique to our group or just unfortunate timing. A member of our group requires a wheelchair and she was unable to access the beach primarily bc of its distance from the end of the boardwalk. There was not a beach wheelchair service anywhere on the island nor a company that serviced the island. We’ve never encountered this before. Our group had to split up with most going to the beach and two to the pool. Unfortunately, the outdoor pool was being serviced during our stay and was not accessible . The indoor pool was adequate but it was indoors. The island itself is very quaint with a decent selection of serviceable restaurants. Not having access to a beach wheelchair will prevent us from returning to the island. Also, there is only one chair & umbrella provider on the island and demand prevented us from being able to rent those. If you have a family member with special needs Dauphin Island isn’t a place where they can access the beach unless you bring your own equipment. ##### Michael S. The issue was the boardwalk, that doesn't seem like a big deal but when you are staying there to go to the beach,closing the boardwalk during the summer is asinine. We were able to use it the first day we were there then it was closed due to repair. It looked like it was fine and whatever needed repaired could've waiting until off peak season. The side gate to get to the beach from the condo didn't always open so we had to go to the front of the condo and enter from the parking garage entrance,VERY FRUSTRATING!! Like I said the condo itself was great but the LONG walk to the beach while carrying all of your things was a pain in the butt. ##### Sarah C. The view was phenomenal, the condo was excellent, super clean, and comfortable. Decorated very nicely, access to the pool and beach was super simple. Check in and out was a breeze.
