"I highly recommend Shenandoah Hideaway. I stayed there with 3 friends for a weekend getaway of long distance hiking in the park. The location is very close to the park and the AT. The place has been updated and is very clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to make big dinners and breakfasts to fuel our long day of hiking. The patio is gorgeous and view is absolutely stunning which was a great way to start and end your day. This place is a gem and I plan on returning again for another weekend of hiking. "

"We had a lovely weekend away. The property was well maintained, the openness of the house and interior were nice, and we enjoyed the deck, fire pit and hot tub. We would stay there again! "
"We stayed 8 nights at this beautiful house. It was exactly as described and the owners were quick to respond to questions during our stay. It was conviently located to Shenandiah National Park for hiking. We wiuld definitely stay here again!"
"I was really impressed with how responsive the hosts were with our questions (they responded immediately). We were there during a storm and the power got knocked out, but the generator immediately turned on to cover all of the power (including the wifi). The stay is very scenic and secluded. It is very close to the Luray Entrance of Skyline Drive on Shenandoah where you can access many hikes. If you are planning on doing Old Rag, you will need to loop around the mountain which was not a problem since the drive is so scenic. I stayed in June 2025, and the grill was propane."

"Place was great. Only issue was the pots and pans should probably be replaced. All were very rusty and hardly usable. There was a chair in the living area that the back had come separated from the seat. But otherwise was amazing."
