Downtown comfort
This hotel staff here are very proud of their hotel (now the Onomo brand) and were responsive to our queries which were very few. It is conveniently located in downtown, close to many banks and other major institutions allowing for easy movement. Excellent Gym; Pool is small but clean. Our only issue was the internet per device which frustrated us from time to time as we logged in after a long drive from Nairobi unaware of the rules, which was frustrating. Good breakfast spread. Comfortable rooms and bathrooms. Good value for money.

Staff was friendly and very helpful. Hotel was very clean and restaurant was good. Gym was well equipped for a hotel gym and clean. Good value for the price. Would stay here again.

Great city centre hotel
Great modern new hotel. Staff are super friendly and the food in the sky bar was the best in Dar Es Salaam. Staff go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. Pool on the 6th floor is also a great welcome from the heat. Ferry is also a 5 min ride. Great location

Really nice hotel except..........
The service in the restaurant really is the only thing that let's this hotel down. I twice went there and sat outside with clients and each time staff walked past inside and looked through the window but just ignored us. After 20 minutes I had to get up to get service. The 2nd time i was there on my own sitting in the shade. It took so long the sun moved round to the table. As I got up to move they finally asked if I wanted anything by which time I had had enough. This is not an isolated incident. I have stayed there many times and it is only the service from the restaurant that let's it down. The bell boys are great and so helpful Reception staff and housekeeping good. Nice rooms. good location. The food and beverage manager really needs to get his act together

The Ramada Encore was my first point of contact when arriving in Dar Es Salaam. The staff was outstanding. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating and the food is AMAZING!!! The concierge Osman arranged a day trip to Zanzibar for me with transportation to and from as well as a tour guide once I arrived in Zanzibar. He was extremely helpful. The only recommendation I have is to freshen the air in the hallways of the floors with either better ventilation or air freshener in the vents or carpet.

When I ordered a snack for in-room dining, the staff was not aware about the menu and the pricing, in fact I would have been over charged. Fortunately, I did not order much food items. I met a couple of my friends from India on 15th night at dinner, they have ordered food which took more than an hour though these items were readily available at the buffet counters. But when served it was not what they had ordered. Also I could see a family group which was having dinner (for their wedding anniversary) verbally complaining about the service to the manager. They expressed their dissatisfaction on the service.

Hotel is nice, but services are horrible. Reception lacks of hospitality, making you not want to come back again, even though the room is clean and modern. Had some hot water issues in the room; but because of the attitudes of the receptionist (including the manager), did not even bother. This shows why service matters. I will not book this hotel again.

Same old, same old......
A good property but very small rooms. The service is appalling in a word......my steak inedible - went to the rooftop restaurant and ordered a seafood platter but eventually gave up and went to bed as it took so long it was just annoying..... I will return but armed with a list of restaurants to eat at locally.....staff that stood out for GREAT service were Ruhia at reception, and Amani and Omary - the rest of the staff I interacted with were surly and far more interested in their smartphones than the customers, felt as if the customers were a nuisance.....the manager that I spoke with upon departure was very pleasant and promised to "look into my comments" Lastly the pool was unusable, see picture....

I've stayed here almost since they opened and one consistent thing is the awful service in the 6th floor restaurant and bar. The restaurant and bar were not very busy at all. After eventually getting a menu i ordered a tuna sandwich. 45 minutes later i had to ask for it. When it came i asked for the bill. After another 25 minutes i just got up and informed reception that i am going to my room. Nothing has changed over the years. The rest of the hotel is fine. The bell boys at the front door are excellent. Especially Righteous. The food and beverage manager needs to address the training of the service staff
