We truly felt right at home.The house has a large, well-stocked kitchen and dining room, and we definitely made use of the HUGE washer and dryer — the host even supplied laundry detergent. The coffee bar offered many options for both coffee and tea, which was a lovely touch.The vintage furniture in the living room is super comfortable, as are all the mattresses. There are four bedrooms upstairs and a huge bedroom downstairs, with plenty of bedding and towels provided.There is also an office/library filled with Vermont and family history. The host is in the process of documenting the home’s history and has included historical artifacts — it was fascinating to explore.The hosts, Ember and Stacey, are absolutely awesome. They’ve truly thought of everything you could possibly need and have labeled items throughout the home, making it easy to settle in and find what you need.Communication was seamless, and check-in was simple. I even lost my ring in the house, and Ember found it and notified me immediately — I am so grateful.St. Johnsbury is very close and is a lovely New England town where you can find everything you need. ##### cathy m. If you are interested in enjoying the unique charm of an authentic farmhouse in the quaint village of North Danville, Vermont, then this is your destination. The house is old and the floors uneven - but it is warm, comfortable, and welcoming with many amenities and nice touches. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to make a meal for two – or for ten. The grounds are fun to explore, and the historic barn is very cool. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms have nice updates.This is a great place to relax and get away from city noise. It is incredibly quiet and also very dark at night – great star gazing on clear nights. Walking to the village of North Danville was quite enjoyable, and driving to nearby towns and sites was easy. I highly recommend staying here!
