We often travel to Dandong to visit family and normally stay at Wanda Realm because it has a pool. This time, we needed an extra night in Dandong and stayed at the Hilton. Parking was on the street with valet help, which was a little awkward. The lobby was on the 8th floor of the building and the check-in process was fine and English was spoken. We had a corner room with a nice view of North Korea but the room itself was a little small. The hotel breakfast was ordinary. I had left my phone in the bathroom and immediately returned to the hotel and the staff retrieved it quickly. Wife left a special pillow and didn't realize it until a few hours later (after we had checked into the Wanda Realm). We called the Hilton and they had retrieved it and it was in the lost and found room. Since we had given our phone number upon checking in, we were a little disappointed the hotel didn't call us when they found it. The location of the hotel is excellent; very close to the train station and an easy walk to the Yalu River. Dinner buffet is awesome, inexpensive and has a very good selection. The room in which I stayed was well equipped and clean but room temperature is unbearably warm at 26 degrees Celsius constantly and could not be adjusted. Food and beverage were catered for locals with very limited choice for Western or other foreign visitors.
