This luxury condo is in the only complex that is legally allowed to do weekly rentals in Dana Point. "Casa de Awesome" is a gorgeous, newly renovated condo in Ritz Pointe, a 5 - star location near the world famous Ritz Carlton Resort! The prestigious, gated community has a resort-style feel with a swimming pool and 2 spas. It is located adjacent to the beautiful Monarch Hills resort and Golf Course. Our guests have access to an exclusive scenic trail through the golf course to Salt Creek Beach where the Ritz Carlton is located. You can access the Ritz from the beach, by walking up the stairs to their patio for a drink or casual dining and take in the sweeping view of the ocean and beach. Salt Creek Beach is one of the most beautiful white sandy beaches in Southern California and is a premier surfing, body surfing, surf fishing, and diving beach. We provide beach towels, beach blankets, beach chairs, a beach cart and beach umbrella to make your experience extraordinary. It is also family oriented with a large grassy park for playing games, barbequing, picnicing, and whale watching too! This condo is located just a mile from the city of the world famous Laguna Beach. During the summer months a free open-air trolley runs up and down the Pacific Coast Highway to and from Dana Point and Laguna Beach. You can pick it up at the St. Regis or the Ritz Carlton and get on or off at your choice of many stops. This allows you to explore the many wonderful restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries in a fun and relaxing way. Laguna also hosts the annual Festival of the Arts and Pageant of the Masters every summer. Dana Point Harbor and Marina, adjacent to Doheny Beach State Park, houses deep sea fishing charters and whale watching cruises. Surfboards, kayaks, stand-up paddleboards, jet skis and bicycles are available to rent from multiple vendors. Upon arrival you will be greeted at the gate by the friendly gatekeepers who will give you a pass for your stay . Covered parking is assigned with plenty of guest parking available. With only two steps up from the curb this one level condo is easily accessible. The beach décor and furnishings are designer quality with a resort feel. Your guest information packet includes the condo particulars and community amenities. You are just steps away from the swimming pool/hot tub and exercise room. Around the corner you will have access to one of two other hot tub areas with a sweeping view of the ocean and sunsets. There are beach chairs, towels and a cart for your convenience. "Casa de Awesome", an inviting, spacious 1200 sf. condo has been completely remodeled and upgraded. There are vaulted ceilings throughout and no one above you. The living room and dining room floors are covered with new luxery vinyl. The master bathroom has a walk-in newly tiled shower, and the second bathroom has a newly tiled shower and bathtub. The kitchen features new quartz counter tops, all new stainless steel appliances, with new dinner and flatware. Both the master and second bedroom are spacious, with large walk-in closets and feature designer bedding and décor. You will sleep like a baby on the new Simmons Sleep Comfort king-size mattresses and the 500 thread count Egyptian cotton bedding. You will enjoy the unique reclaimed headboards which are actual gates from old homes in Laguna. The living room has a large flat screen TV with HD cable above the gas fireplace. WiFi high speed internet is easily accessible throughout the condo. All new windows and vaulted ceilings create a light, bright setting and the lovely wrap-around deck has an inviting outdoor seating area and gas BBQ. The private view is overlooking the green hills and the beautiful homes of Dana Point. We are centrally located between Los Angeles and San Diego by the coast. Southern California's major attractions like Disneyland , San Diego Zoo, Lego Land, Sea World, Universal Studios, and the Outlet Malls are less than an hour's drive. We loved everything about it and will stay again when we visit my family. The master bedroom closet was so big (and had a skylight!) that my toddlers made a fort in it and slept there for the week :) The only thing I will mention, which didn't matter to us, but was a bit of a shock - the 'walk' to the beach is 1.25 miles and LOTS of hills. It would be fine for a couple, but not for dragging along 2 little kids and all their stuff. We walked half way and then realized that the kids were already done, and even if we had a blast at the beach, they'd never make the walk back. First the positives: Cynthia was very responsive to our requests. The kitchen was very well equipped. The fireplace was especially cozy.However, there were several problems. The sofa in the living room was not usable. With a strong demand, Cynthia was able to get a new one to us in 3 days. The Kitchen lights did not work. At first they only stayed on. Then they wouldn’t turn on. We had 3 visits from electricians before they were fixed. On a very cool morning, the furnace was broken requiring another workman visit.It is not an easy walk to the beach and that was disappointing for sure and misleading in the description..The plethora of plastic plants was both unattractive and dust catching. The woven rugs were frayed and tripping hazards. The bedroom carpets were worn and dirty. The patio looked like it had not been cleaned in months so was also unusable.We appreciated Cynthia’s availability and quick response. However we will not be returning. ##### Sharon V.
