This level of privacy and seclusion is not commonly associated with beachfront property, making it the perfect place to experience the romance, magic, and the unique energy of the ocean without the crowds. It is just a short ride to great restaurants in Dana Point and San Clemente as it is between these two seaside communities where you will find lots of restaurants and shopping. It is 30 minutes from the airport and two minutes to the train station. Learning experiences abound at nearby San Juan Capistrano Mission or Dana Point Harbor Ocean Institute. Proximity to famous theme parks such as Disneyland, Knottsberry Farms, SeaWorld, and the San Diego Zoo make it easy to create a memorable day’s adventure. This lower-level home of a duplex has an open relaxed feeling starting with an ocean view great room with floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping ocean views and the nicely furnished deck. Relax on the beautiful redwood deck or on a lounge chair in the sand and watch birds and dolphins play as you sunbathe, read, catch up with one another, have a barbecue, take in a sunset, or watch the brilliant starlit skies. Swim, surf, or paddleboard, take a walk, bicycle on an ocean path to Dana Point Pier, run down the beach, kayak, go boating, or play golf at a nearby course. Lots of comfortable cluster seating make this a great place to relax, reconnect, and recharge with one another or watch the large TV. A ceiling fan keeps you comfortable at all times. A roomy ocean-view dining area is right next to the modern, well-equipped ocean-view kitchen, which has everything you need to satisfy your culinary desires. Beautiful view and clean home (only one thing I noted that needs to be addressed). Would come back. 4-Stars given due to the difficulty of entering guard gate (even after signing contract for 2-cars and family members names). The home was open and airy -- the full window/doors opened onto the deck which overlooked the ocean. Fabulous views! Living-dining-kitchen very accommodating for various seating options - dining options had a huge table (we loved it) with side tables available for food display or a bar set up -- kitchen was well equipped. It had both a drip coffee pot and a kuerig. Plus hand mixer, toaster and blender. Delightful location - highly recommend. Only complaint was the pillows and sheets -- subpar and not enough towels. We stayed here for a few nights for out anniversary and it very much met expectations. The 3 bedroom unit was spacious and the views - especially of the sunset - were as advertised. We enjoyed coffee in the morning and drinks at night while watching seals, dolphins, pelicans, right from the back door. Everything for check in was straightforward - the property could've been a little cleaner, but it was adequate and had absolutely everything needed. I will say that the high tide comes up close so sometimes there was no beach to walk on; but it was absolutely stellar when the tide was lower to walk along the beach from the back door. So if you are expecting kids to always get to play in the sand, this might not work out that way. Would definitely stay in this unique place in a great location again! ##### Ryan M. Unit was accurate to the pictures. Small issue with the check in for the guard gate but it was resolved in a timely manner. The lock on one of the sliding doors did not work and management responded with a lock to secure the door. Beach chairs that were at the unit were not in very good shape so we brought our own. Aug 27, 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Amazing Ocean View We loved the large common area with sliding glass doors that literally had you just a few feet away from the waves of the sea with a sandy area right outside of the home to park beach chairs, build endless amounts of sand castles and bury treasures. Bathroom situation wasn’t ideal for 8 people since one of the two bathrooms was in the master and did not have a door for privacy. Definitely the entire home could have been a lot cleaner. The property was beautiful and having the ocean right out the back door was just what we wanted. It had everything we needed. The only issue we had was getting our guest through the gate. The guard gate did not have their info and it was almost impossible to get someone from property management to call them directly. Calling Vacasa, they gave me the run around. It was the guard who gave me a direct number to someone who ultimately got my guest in. All in all, we had an amazing stay and will definitely consider returning. It was a challenge getting the right form to per-registar my car, I finally got it, after multiple emails and phone calls and filled it out only to learn at the guard gate to get in, they hadn't received it. I called the number and it took about 20 minutes to get it worked out, so not a huge deal but frustrating. The nice lounge chairs from the photo weren't on the deck. The deck furniture could use some updating as to be more clean and comfortable. The stairs down to the ocean were a nice add that we weren't expecting. I really like the privacy of having an ocean front house with a private beach access. I love the open layout of the house and its modern style. Having a private sand area for my kids made our stay more enjoyable. And there were plenty of sand toys and beach chairs. The house was clean when we arrived, kitchen was fully stocked and lots of towels was provided. Although , the lounge chair that was advertised was not on the deck. It would have been nice to have at least one because the iron chairs were not comfortable. But I appreciate the folding beach chairs that we ended up using. We would definitely come back.
