All staff were always polite ,very pleasant and helpful at all times of day or night. Hotel very clean and room serviced every day to excellent standard. Nothing ever too much trouble for staff . Hotel perfectly situated, everything within comfortable walking distance . Loads to do, really enjoyed my stay in Amsterdam .well done swissotel
I've been here before and will come back. I like this hotel but there was an issue with a flickering bathroom light and smoke coming into my room from a neighboring room, despite my being in a block of non-smoking rooms.
After reading previous reviews we checked location on Google earth, so easy to find. Room was pretty small, but very clean and bright. It was on floor 5 at the back, so although no view it was quiet. Was expensive for room size, but did everything we required. Serviced every day. Staff friendly enough.
Hotel in an excellent location, very central, close to a variety of good restaurants and only a short walk to various sights and museums, transport links are excellent .. Rooms compact but very clean and perfectly fine for a short stay, bed was very comfortable .. Would definitely stay again, would recommend..
This was a wonderful hotel with both old-fashioned charm and modern luxuries. The room was beautiful with incredibly high ceilings (not sure if this was because I was on the highest floor) with large windows overlooking one of the rivers. The bathroom was luxurious with both a large tub and shower, as well as two sinks, which was perfect for a couple. I cannot say enough about the bed - the sheets and bed were so comfortable that I didn't want to get out of bed, even to explore the city. The staff was super friendly and very helpful when recommendations or extra toiletries were needed. The free minibar was an extra perk - there's something nice about coming back to your room and enjoying some cool wine and sparkling water. The location was very nice - about a 5-10 minute walk to the nightlife, bars and restaurants, but far enough to avoid any street noise with your window open at night. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to Amsterdam.
Hotel CC whilst a spotless hotel with friendly staff and a perfect location suffers what most hotels in Amsterdam suffer from lack of space in room.
My hotel room looked much larger on website must have been taking with wide angle lens
The bathroom had a low sloping ceiling which made it virtually impossible to shave or groom yourself in mirror and the bed was too small as my legs were hanging off the edge and I'm not very tall either.
As I've said the staff and cleanliness at hotel cannot be faulted but if you want comfort forget it.
What a great hotel this was. We loved all aspects of the hotel including staff, location and room. The staff at the front desk and the breakfast time were truly amazing!!! Kuddos to them and our baby who is 13months just loved them and how they interacted with him. Thank you to the wonderful team.
"Hotel was modern. Friendly staff. great locaton "
Hotel was clean. Very modern. Great price. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Amazing location. Right in city centre. Close to everything. But when in room you didn't hear the noise from outside. Great stay. Going back this summer.
The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don't miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdam Museum.
