If you want a city centre hotel, this is the one for you.
I couldn't believe how good the location was, for our whole trip we didn't need to purchase any transport.
Our room was nice, the beds were really comfy and the room was clean.
The only gripe would be the hairdryer, bring your own if you can.
The staff were brilliant, I received a balloon and some chocolates because it was my birthday.
The wifi is pretty decent too.
When we come back to Amsterdam we wouldn't hesitate to book this again.
Me and my boyfriend were greeted by a polite member of staff who was very helpful! We wasn't aware that we had to pay the tax by card so the women allowed us to pay by cash and she paid using her own card. We left the do not disturb sign on our door and the cleaners left clean towels in a bag on our door. Once we checked out our room we realised we had left a hat, when we returned to collect our luggage the cleaners had handed the hat in. The room was a fair size, huge bed and fair size bathroom. Would defiantly return, perfect location, perfect room and lovely staff!!!:)
the hotel is decorated and styled like a turn of the century transatlantic ship (i.e. titanic). all original decor from early 1900. gorgeous. may seem obsolete, but it is not. it is perfectly renovated while keeping the original decor. amazing. there is free access to the spa, which has an indoor pool, hot tub, etc. really nice. you can even get a room with a view to the city.
Welcoming staff, clean, great location, rooms reasonable size for area and price, no issues really , would stay here again. Only issue (small) for breakfast (bufffet) bacon was undercooked (rubbery) I like mine crisp, (don't eat bacon often)

The bustling heart of Amsterdam, this district attracts hordes of visitors teeming from Centraal Station to Dam Square and its beautiful Nieuwe Kerk (14th-century). The oldest part of town, Oude Zijde, is famous for its Red Light District, but the University and the docks bring a different kind of colour and buzz to the narrow streets. Don't miss the Oude Kerk, the Amstelkring Museum or the paintings in the Amsterdam Museum.
