I needed a place to house relatives that were in town for my birthday so this basically became a three day adult slumber party. The neighborhood was mostly quiet, it just felt like I was at home. The home is located just west of downtown Dallas so it is very easy to get to the hotspots! There were enough dishes and other kitchen items there that we were able to cook breakfast every day and on one night we did a fish fry. I especially love that I was able to close the gate at night as an added Security Measure! The owner gives the option of using the home security system as well. The neighborhood is definitely in transition, so pay attention to other reviews that provide details. The location was superior for our plans and we didn't spend much time "hanging out" in the neighborhood, so it was not an issue for us. The only issue we had was the EXTREMELY close proximity of the neighbors and their EXTREMELY LOUD and LONG celebration our first night. We did contact the owner who was nice enough to contact the neighbors--who explained that it was a birthday celebration. There were no issues on the remaining nights, so overall, great accommodations in a great location (for our planned activities) and an owner willing to make a call. Our family came to Dallas for a 5 night stay at the epilepsy monitoring unit at UT Southwestern with our daughter. However, since we also have a son who could not stay the night at the hospital my husband and I had to shuffle him back and forth each night. The proximity of this home to the hospital and the hospitality of Mesh was incredible. We had everything we needed including awesome spa showers to take at the end of each day.
