Had trouble with bathroom stool. Addressed problem shortly after reporting. Staff very kind and hospitable. Someone usually at front desk when you enter. Very quiet area where hotel is located. Would have liked indoor hot tub and or swimming pool.
After a week of staying in not-so-great-but-cheap hotels, I was blown away when I walked into my hotel room. It was amazing - and for such a low price! Room was huge, had a kitchen with a full sized fridge, oven, and dishwasher, large couch, workspace, very comfortable bed. It was close to the size of the condo I live in! The heat in my room went out, but the hotel staff were very apologetic and kind and quickly moved me to another room of equal greatness. I seriously considered cancelling my upcoming hotels in other towns in order to stay here longer. Felt like I should be entertaining guests here. Lots of selection for breakfast and close to any restaurant you could want. I am already planning on staying here the next time I'm nearby. Couldn't recommend it enough.
My husband and I enjoyed our weekend stay at this hotel! From the moment we walked in we were greeted with warm, friendly people. Whether is was at check in, the housekeeping, or at breakfast the staff always spoke to us. Speaking of breakfast: hot, fresh, and simple yet still delicious! My husband very much enjoyed the breakfast. He will not stay at a hotel without breakfast! Although my favorites were the apartment home-like feel of the clean room and the clean kitchen, I have to admit breakfast was good. I got up every morning for breakfast. Something I rarely do at hotels. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be staying again! (We booked another weekend before we even checked out our room)
Only complaint the water from kitchen sink looked cloudy. I don't know why and didn't even ask. Maybe because they began a full pool renovation that weekend? :/ We just used bottled water instead to cook our pasta in.
Considering everything I've said and our experience at the Residence Inn by Marriott Dallas Arlington South, I would still recommend this hotel to anyone.
Had to change rooms only because the bathroom smelled of cigarettes so bad. Bed was comfy really nice and clean other wise. Moved to another room like night and day the room wasn't very good smaller tv, burner on stove didn't work and bed as hard as rock. Next time I will check out the room better
Plus: big apartments, good location, good breakfast and afternoon offer.
Minus: buildings too close to each other, romm not very clean, outdated, old appliances, lack of furnitures.
Overall, not at the brand level, but nice for families.
The room size was impressively large, with plenty of pillows and towels in both baths. Everything looked and felt clean. We could not hear any other TV noise through the walls or from the hallway. The hotel dining area was nice and large, and the free breakfast was great. I had the traditional eggs, some bacon, slice of toast, cup of coffee and a fruit bowl. The hotel was kind of hidden being so close next to a sister hotel that is so much taller. This made trying to locate where to turn in at night for the Hawthorne a little confusing. Anyway, we loved our stay here.
