Great hotel
This is a great choice for the area, great quality bed, very attentive service and good food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner.

Nice facilities, but small rooms and mediocre food
The hotel facilities was very nice, but the food and the service at dinner was disappointing. The menu wasn’t the same as advertised for their tasting menu online, we had three different waiters, one rather rude and all of them quite incompetent when it came to knowledge about what they were serving us. Didn’t get to taste the wine either before they poured it. They poured different wines in the same glass and cleared plates before we were done. The food was eatable, but quite cold and you got the impression that it had been mass produced and waiting on the table for quite sometime before being served. The rooms were small and the bed uncomfortable and hard. The facilities were cozy and the spa and the gym was to a very nice standard.

Great but crowded
Great service from the staff, both at the reception desk and at the restaurant. Be prepared to book your seating at the restaurant in advance! Especially during summer, or young might not get a table

Cute place in the heart of Tällberg
Great hotel in the center of Tällberg. Wonderful gardens where you want to hang out all day. Excellent food. Service is typically Swedish (= not great).

Dalhalla weekend
Very nice hotel in a small swedish village. Close to the lake Siljan and with a lot of handcraft stores around. The only thing that could improve was the restaurant. We took a pre-designed early dinner before going to Dalhalla and it was ok but didn’t meet our expectations.

We had a wonderful stay st Akerblads. The hotel is charming and quaint. We had a very nice room with a sitting room as well. The breakfasts were superb. This was our third stay at this hotel and hope to stay there again. We cannot Tate it high enough.

Great return visit
We picked this hotel because we had stayed there on a Santa Lucia tour several years ago. We were celebrating our 52nd wedding anniversary and felt that this hotel would be a nice place to stay. We were not disappointed. The breakfasts were amazing and our room was very nice although a bit small. The carpet in it needs to be upgraded and there was a hole in the bathroom door form hitting a night stand. Other than that we were very pleased with the Akerblads,

A disappointing return
I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and have always loved the charm and family feel. When we arrived it was assumed I had never stayed there before- obviously they did not check - our name is unusual and we have stayed there at least 5 times. So much for the family hospitality. This particular trip we were offered a room that was quite small and did not look onto the lake. Sweden was experiencing a hot spell and the room was stifling warm - there was only one window. We also found the bathroom - especially the shower - to be smaller than the norm. We went down to ask for another bigger room with a lake view and were told that these were junior suites. I have stayed in these lake facing rooms before and I was never charged more than a basic room rate. We could have this room if we agreed to pay approximately an extra $150 for the 2 nights-which we did. The room was charming and had a balconly door we could open in an attempt to cool the room. The room, was meticulously clean but needed an update or at least some repair. The wall paper in the sitting area of the room was peeling in multiple locations. The restaurant, as many have commented, is overpriced. You need to tell them you are coming and then - in the afternoon a menu is presented. I do not eat red meat and told them so. The menu featured two appetizers - a baked egg or a reindeer meat plate. Whenever I eat there, and tell them I do not eat meat, they offer a $12 egg appetizer.

Overprisede for the location, no spectacular view from rom, disappointing breakfast ( Half-cooked bacon, watery powdered scrambled eggs), overprisede dinner, as compared wdith other hotels in area(Dalecarlia). No minibar/refrigerator/icemachine in rom, even after 3 days request.....

NOT for solo travelers
The location and hotel are lovely but honestly TERRIBLE for solo travelers. Geared towards couples and families. Also, there were 2 weddings which completely took over the common spaces (indoor and outdoor) which was annoying.

En bra vistelse på ett mysigt hotell. Bra bemötande på all plan. Ett mycket skönt och avkopplande spa. Besöket i restaurangen under middagen var ok men inte topp. Lite ”rörig/yr” personal kollen var inte den bästa. Brandlarmet gick, men ingen info till gästerna om läget.

Lugn oas för reflektion
Väldigt genuin oas långt ifrån storstadens höga tempo och stress. Överraskande god vegansk trerätters-middag både dag 1 och 2. Dessutom helt olika menyer dag 1 och 2. Fint jobbat! Veganska alternativen till frukost dag 1 var dock inte lika imponerande. Det veganska utbudet var väldigt begränsat. Efter att vi förmedlat vår feedback så tog de fram fler veganska alternativ till frukost dag 2, vilket vi uppskattade även om det inte var alls i samma klass som de fina veganska middagarna vi fick under vår 48h-vistelse.

Fantstisk spaavdelning, mysiga rum, dålig service
Hotellets spa och lokaler var mycket fina, långt över förväntant och precis så man önskar att ens boende i Dalarna ska vara. 10/10. Tyvärr dras hela upplevelsen ner av det bemötande man får, med betoning på dem som står i receptionen, vilekt är det första intrycket man får. Personalen i receptionen var högdragna och inte speciellt villiga till service. Tyvärr känns det som att hotellets ägare (min gissning att det var dem) var dem som gav ett högdraget och ovälkommnannde sättm inte dem som jobbade där. Tur att perosnalen vid frukostserveringen var mycket trevliga.

Dåligt med parkering, fick parkera vid närliggande hotell. Mysigt rum, tyvärr lite dåligt städat på toaletten. Servicen i receptionen sådär, fick stå och vänta länge då det bara fanns en personal. Spaavdelningen ok. Det var väldigt mycket folk när vi var där, så det kändes rörigt. Restaurangen kanon! Bra mat och väldigt trevlig personal!
