Meals are highly recommended. Room was traditional Japanese style. The shared bathroom was a bit old but clean in general. The views down the mountain out the windows are amazing! The couple who own the place are lovely, friendly, and hospitable. I added the Sukiyaki dinner and it was delicious with lots of side dishes and the famous local pear for dessert.
