Large one bedroom 800 sq. ft. upstairs apartment in the middle of the beautiful Black Hills. Extra large bedroom with 2 queen beds, sofa bed in great room--sleeps up to 6. Fully equipped kitchen with full size stove & refrigerator, microwave, slow cooker, coffee maker & toaster. Private building and entrance. Gas & charcoal grills and picnic table. Outdoor fire (as permitted). Air conditioning, Wi-Fi, good cell phone reception, satellite TV and DVD player.

Quiet location in wooded mountains bordering Forest Service property. Enjoy wildlife outside your bedroom window. Two miles NW of Custer. Close to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse Monument, Mt Rushmore, Wind Cave National Park, Jewel Cave National Monument and more.

We appreciate your leaving the property in the same condition as when you arrived.

We really enjoyed our stay, the apartment was clean, comfortable and quiet. We had everything we needed for our stay, the apartment was well stocked and was nicely decorated. It was a very relaxing place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. It was a great location to everything we wanted to see in the area, and we enjoyed the local shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay again in the future.

Our stay at Laramie Bluffs was so comfortable and our hosts were so welcoming. We would definitely recommend the accommodations to friends and family and others. It was the perfect launching place for all our adventures, and centrally located.

The location was really good for us and the area. The rental was clean and had every thing you would need. We stayed in the first of Sept and there is one small AC for the unit that is located in the bedroom. It was off when we arrived and took several hours to cool down and from there we left it on and it was cool enough when we got back in the evenings. A really nice couple owns it and they live on the property but let you have your own space. The outside space was nice to have for our use too. The rental is above the garage so know there will be steps. The unit is clean and safe and located in a very good spot. A winner.

Comfortable & Homey

My family and I enjoyed our stay at Laramie Bluffs. A nice location off the beaten path and away from the busy town of Custer. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The space was cozy (as expected). The air conditioner had to work really hard, and the cool air didn't circulate well even with 2 ceiling fans so cooking with the stove/oven wasn't a great idea.

Black Hills Visit

Laramie Bluffs is a top-notch place to stay. The property is very well maintained, quiet, private lodging located within minutes of Custer, SD, in addition to being within a half hour drive of Crazy Horse Monument, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, Hill Cities' 1880 Trains and many other attractions. My wife and I stayed there 9 years ago. The property was as clean and well maintained as was during our previous visit.

Our third time at Laramie Bluffs!

We were excited to return. The last stay was 8 years ago. This was our third time staying in this perfect, peaceful home. The location is perfect-very close to Custer state park, Crazy Horse memorial, and Jewel cave. We love the kitchen set up and the outdoor dining space. It’s so quiet and relaxing here. Linda and Gary are incredibly kind and there to give good information. We will return again as we really enjoyed our visit!

Nicely appointed, cutely decorated, serene setting, up a dirt road 3 miles from town. So peaceful. Beds including the sofa bed, were comfy. Bathroom needed more of a deep cleaning, but not bad. Nice TV with streaming sx. Window AC did the trick in the bedroom. Everything one needs to cook. Loved climbing around the rocks in the backyard. Picnic & fire pit area included! Will stay again.

Beautiful Black Hills location
