It's in a nice location compared to all the parks and Mt Rushmore. Not much traffic around and quiet even though it is next to the small airport. The highlights were enough sleeping space, large kitchen and bathroom, centrally located (5 mins away from Custer city, close to Custer State park, Hill City, Rushmore and Windcave National Park), great communication with the owner/manager. Just 2 miles outside of Custer, easy to get to and easy to get to the various things we wanted to see. It had everything we needed, and it was very clean! Communication was very prompt when we needed something. Our kiddo left something behind, and the owners were very prompt and very kind in helping us to remedy the situation! So much appreciated! The area was quiet and was located close to downtown Custer. We were a little shocked that the cabins are on the edge of the small RV park, which is not shown in the picture. But, is was very quiet, so that wasn't an issue. There was very brief interaction with the host The only things that we were somewhat disappointed with were the down stairs bed was hard as a rock and the pictures of the loft area shows that the beds were at least a box spring and mattress. There were three mattresses only laying on the floor. But, overall it was a nice stay. For a small family on a budget, i would recommend it. The place was clean/comfortable and it is a nice central location for Mt. Rushmore/Custer State Park/Wind Cave. Hidden gem is the Mammoth Site in Hot Springs. Cabin did not have enough pots and pans though we didn’t think to ask owner for some. He was a really nice guy. Photos are accurate.
