"No free internet in rooms, check out too early."
Rooms a bit too small. Windows should be sound proof as you can hear clearly people talking outside. On the other hand, staff is friendly and helpful, breakfast is good and we were allowed to check out 11 AM instead of 10 AM.

"Excellent place to stay in Cusco"
Very good place to stay if your planning to take tours to Machu Picchu or any of the many other sites or to visit the city of Cusco. Great location for both. Hostel has great service to setup and arrange tours directly. Breakfast is good and so is the coffee. Will definitely use this hostel again.

"Good hotel for our family"
This inexpensive hotel is located just steps from the Plaza Regocijo, which itself is just down the street from the Plaza de Armas. It is in an excellent location for historic Cusco. We were there on Good Friday and we had the good fortunate of witnessing the Good Friday parade/procession from our balcony. The breakfast was also pretty good. Coca tea, coffee and fruit smoothies, and cereal, yogurt, fresh bread, avocado and jam rounded out the hearty selection. I really liked the interior breakfast courtyard space. As for the negatives, the room is very basic and the walls are so thin that you could hear every one of your neighbor's steps. We came with two small children so we were probably the ones making the most noise in the hotel. Moreover, there was a car alarm that kept going off right outside of our window all three nights, and it definitely woke me up each night. Lastly, the staff was super friendly. They let us leave our luggage there from 8am the first morning (prior to check in) to 11pm when we returned from Machu Picchu. When we arrived, the receptionist who I believe lives there was kind of drunk, pointed us to the bag room and gave us the room keys. It turned out to be the wrong room size, but we went ahead anyways. In the morning, it turned out that he had not registered us so the morning receptionist had no idea we had stayed there. This was more comedic than anything, not really a complaint. Overall good bargain though.

"Very clean hostel! "
It's a walking distance to the center, it's clean, and the staff is very helpful. It was a bit cold in my room and the front desk had someone bring up a heater without me having to ask. Very accommodating with the breakfast in the morning and the anytime tea. Love this hostel! I'd stay here again.

"Great room for my night prior to Machu Picchu"
Comfy room prior to my trip to Machu Picchu. The walls were a little thin, there was a party in the hotel room next to mine, but after I while I'm pretty sure they went "out" because I couldn't hear them anymore. The ladies at the front desk were not very helpful when I asked them where to find an ATM. Once said at the Plaza de Armas... but where? I ended up walking around and found one at a corner, right by the Plaza de Armas Hotel. (It's inside of a jewelry shop), but this type of detail is what I expected from them, not "right over there", especially since I've never been to the city. Funny enough, when I came to pick up my luggage after my trek, someone asked for an ATM and a lady gave the same response, "at the square". So I explained to him in detail, where he could find an ATM. It's this level of service that would have given the hotel an excellent star rating. For now, they get 4 out of 5. Overall, great room, the men who help with the luggage were lovely as well.
