« The Carte’s were extremely pleased with our stay for the 2025 Labor Day holiday. The house was amazing, clean and Phil was extremely helpful with answering our questions about the area. The best part of our trip was by far the wild horses and the seclusion of the Rusty Crab. We recommend booking a visit at this house and giving it a 10 out of 10!!! »

« This vacation home was exactly what we needed. We had four families with 8 adults and 8 children, yet the house never felt crowded. The kids loved the movie room at night and checking out the horses from the decks. The pool area was perfect for the late afternoon. It is walking distance to the drive on beach. The owners had numerous beach chairs, boogie boards, and pool floats available. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could need. There was plenty of room to park. The charcoal grills...

« We decided to celebrate our youngest child’s sweet 16 and another’s Highschool graduation with a trip to OBX. Check-in was super easy and everything was extremely well stocked! We arrived later in the day so this was very much appreciated as we didn’t need to run right out and get anything to supplement our initial night at the house. « Beautiful home. Plenty of space. Great area! Would definitely stay again…. Kids loved the pool / hot tub, and it was a little walk to the beach, but easy walk, and a path the entire way!!! »

« Our first time in the Northern Banks / 4WD section of OBX. We are hooked, we’ll definitely be back. We went in the off-season which was quite nice. The property itself is as advertised and very comfortable and spacious, and well appointed. The owner was extremely responsive and a breeze to deal with. I thought it was very good value for the money and appropriately priced. Highly recommend but hopefully YOU don’t book MY Thanksgiving holiday next year! :) »

« The house was located on a 4 x 4 only beach, which would have been fine if we had been informed prior to our arrival about the conditions to expect and the proper way to navigate them. We arrived after dark, during high tide, with inflated tires. We should have been told to watch the tide charts because the beach becomes impassable at high tide. We were not, and barely made it to our turn off because it was a shortly after high tide. We should have been told about letting the air out of the...

« Great vacation home to host our family Thanksgiving. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room and seating. Seamless arrival and very clean. Unobstructed Views of the Ocean and Sound were incredible. Dual refrigerators, dishwashers and ovens were so great for a family who all likes to cook and could all be in the kitchen at the same time. Multiple areas to hang out and play games. Exterior features like the grill & hit tub were in excellent condition. Within minutes to shops, restaurants & ...

« We had a fantastic stay. We had everything we needed for cooking meals. Yes, it’s remote, but it’s very peaceful and quiet. We wanted to get away from it all with the family, and we spent hours at both the beach (short walk) and playing in the pool. The home is very clean. We saw horses everyday but one. Thanks for a wonderful stay! Would highly recommend! »
