Fell short of our expectation. Overly priced for the poor facilities. Food is terrible and overly priced. Rooms are rundown. Lots of mosquitoes and the pool is not that clean. The beach area has goats and dogs roaming around. I will definitely not recommend this hotel unless they improve.

Basic hotel close to beach
Good location near beach. Swimming pool and outside area was nice. Service at restaurant was slow...had to wait a long time for our order. Only sheets provided in the rooms...no blankets.

Beachfront Balinese theme hotel
Beachfront balinese theme hotel. Facilities and pool was good. We book room for four person. Enough space for all of us. Bathroom need a major upgrade though. Looks old, dirty and dilipidated. And breakfast is only free for 2 even though we book the quadriple room.

the staff was really accomodating and the food was good. the room could have been a ittle cleaner but it was fine. the reservations were wrong but they upgraded me to a suite and they tried to get me in another room with double beds but they brought in extra beds at no charge.

Nice, comfortable Hotel, great location
This is 4th time stayed here & is by far the best Hotel is the general area. Staff as usual were fantastic, all so very friendly & helpful. Room was clean, quite spacious, bed quite comfortable maybe a little hard, if you want coffee making facilities ask at reception & they will provide. Biggest drawback is the noisy corridors outside the rooms. Echoes & noise travels whole way along. Particularly bad if there happens to be a wedding party getting ready, everyone coming & going, slamming doors etc & kids are running up & down corridor all day playing & shouting. Not good if you want an afternoon nap! Note to Hotel Management - Keep all the guests attending or preparing for function in GF rooms & other guests who want a quiet relaxing vacation, in 1F rooms. Be careful not to deter your core Client base from returning! Food is good, well cooked & generous portions. Try the Mongolian rice! Relax in the pool & watch the local fisherman returning with their catch, go buy fresh fish from them & ask the Hotel kitchen to cook for you for a small charge, excellant! Pool & Beach are great. Views by day & night are fantastic. This Hotel is not perfect & is probably somewhere between 3 & 4 stars, but we love it for all its good points.

wi-fi is only limited in specific area, need to add or improve their broadband so it will have connections in the room. pool is not infitely flowing and seems not clean being cleaned regularly, need to improve more on this. parking is nice lot of space. there's also near 7-11 store. i love the place very relaxing and peaceful. the beach is just so so...

The resort needs renovation. No WiFi Services in rooms. The WiFi in lobby area was poor. Room amenities was poor.. no face & hand towel. We had to request bath floor mat everyday if our stay. Toiletries were limited. Playa Tropical could be a very nice resort with renovations & upkeep

The resort is beautiful. The aircon in our room is not functioning well. Its really hot in the room. The foods is good specially the Nachos but the service is not good. We waited almost one hour for the food to arrive. :(

The ONLY good thing about this hotel is the staff, all were friendly and courteous. The food is ok. Lets start with the room - its certainly outdated, poor drainage in the sink, some tight spots were dusty, loose screws in several areas. The airconditioning was nice and strong. Pillows were hard as wood. The pool is nice overlooking the beach but there's this strong smell, maybe heavily chlorinated. The have a game room that needs regular inspection. The billiards(pool) balls was missing the no.8 ball (staff aware of this, i don't know for how long), the table tennis(ping pong) table was there but staff said they don't have a ball (only old rackets). So why do you have games that are not playable??? Breakfast was average. Beach is just a few steps away but is dirty and this hotel does not have a private beach front. There were several people camping directly in front of the hotel towards the beach (not hotel guests) so if you want privacy while in the beach then think again.

It was mispresented, pictures Ads not we stayed
It was a disappointment once we got there, mis presentation, pictures on the ads was not the place given to us, we're given ordinary rooms that smells and have to wait for towels. Limited amount of towels (only bath towels) provided. There were extra charge if we transfer to the pictures on the ads (casa). We were told that we paid the ordinary rooms not for the one showing in the pictures. We ended up paying extra money just to upgrade and again, we have to wait for the towels (just bath towels provided) limited supply or else you pay extra. There was communication issue between Expedia and Playa Tropical and customer has to suffer and Playa Tropical was inconsiderate as a result. The view is okay but accommodation is very poor. Need improvement for false advertisement.

Great location, next to a clean beach and well away from the grime and hyperactivity of Manila. A good place to unwind and relax.

The grounds were beautiful the beach had trash on it. The bathtub was way to high dangerous getting out. We saw a few roaches. The staff was not attentive food was horrible

Resort had nice pool and decent beach but is quite far from laoag (40 mins.away) so not too many options in terms of food. Near the sand dunes though. No cable tv on the first night.

The place is totally far different from what they show in the website that includes the services. Very disappointing. Booked for 2 nights but stayed only for a night, a horrible smell comes out when hot water is on. Swimming pool not that clean.

Advertised with free massage but was not available, until I complained there was no tea or coffee making facility within the room, out of the 10 night stay we had hot water for morning showers only 4 of them rest was cold showers !!. The staff were friendly and helpful and the ambeince of the resort was idylic. food was reasonable priced and a good selection. what saved it for me was the highly effective air conditioning within the room and comfortable bed. would highly recommend this hotel as long as you're not expecting european levels of service and comfort its a good 4 out of 5 I will be going again

Worst Hotel Experience
Worst ever. -It's indicated that they have highspeed internet but upon arrival, they immediately mentioned that the wifi is only available at the front desk and when I connected my phone to their wifi, it was really slow. -The receptionist made a mistake giving us only 2 bfast voucher. I insisted that we booked for 4 pax and should be given 4 vouchers but she insisted that I was wrong. I didn’t argue anymore. When I went back to the lobby, another shift receptionist handed me the remaining bfast voucher and said they made a mistake. -We entered our hotel room and it smelled like the room has not been used for a long time. -They have no heater for the shower and it was really cold in Ilocos when we went there. -We left the hotel for our day 1 tour, we went back at the end of the day and saw that they didn’t clean the room at all. They did not change the bed sheets and towels. They did not replenish the toiletries and other things. I reported this to the lobby and they were surprised to find out about it. -Upon check out, they were charging us an extra bfast meal they said we consumed. Of course we said that they made a mistake, they verified it over and over again and confirmed that they were wrong. -We checked out a day early because of all of these reasons and demanded a refund but they rejected our request because of the terms and conditions. Ilocos is a very nice place but please do not consider this hotel as it will partly ruin your stay there.

The room that we got has a bath tub with jacuzzi but is not working,that maybe is the only thing that I can comment negatively.However,the resort was so nice,room we had was really nice.The resort also has the beach view and the infinity pool is great.I suggest that this place is the best for couples and must have own mode of transportation.

Playa Tropical Vacation Stay
The service of the staff -- from registration, security, room service, housekeeping and cafe staff was great and they were very attentive to my needs. I recommend Playa Tropical and their very unique tribal building design -- with modern amenities. The view from the infinity pool, back to the resort is eclamated with the impressive thatched tropical roofs of each individual cabins and floating dining huts. The only drawback (if you can call technology a drawback) -- is that I found the broadband wifi not fast enough for my personal taste. My overall experience was great and deserves a repeat.

Off Season GetAway
The Resort is actually good. The overall design of the hotel is nice, there are a lot of amenities like pool, billiards and those sorts. They can provide with Tours as well which is okay if you have a day to spare. The wifi is fast BUT it would be great if it covers the whole vicinity NOT just the lobby. The pool was amazing! it reflects the sunset and its so beautiful, a very good scenery for anyone. Hmm the service is okay. The FOOD IS OVER PRICED!!! aside from that, Everything else is fine.

Le cadre de l'hôtel est magnifique - le coucher de soleil au bord de la belle piscine est superbe - MAIS l'équipement de la chambre laisse à désirer : pas de bouilloire, pas de sèche-cheveux, pas de coffre-fort..... et pas de boutique à l'hôtel. ET pas de wifi dans les chambres !!! Obligé d'aller au lobby pour avoir la wifi!

Un endroit tranquille
Très belle suite propre, avec baignoire dans une grande salle de bains. Malheureusement le wi-fi n'était pas de très bonne qualité pour une utilisation en chambre (aux abords des bornes et au bord de la piscine cela allait). Hôtel en bord de mer, dans un village tranquille. La plage n'est pas fantastique mais la mer y est chaude et les couchers de soleil sont très beaux. La région est très jolie également, avec pas mal d'églises et d'attractions touristiques facilement accessibles par le bus public (Laoag, Paoay, Batac, etc.). Accueil chaleureux. Le restaurant n'est pas fantastique, mais le chef était suffisamment gentil pour nous préparer des plats le soir (contre une petite rémunération) avec les produits du marché que nous allions acheter le matin au village. La présence d'un billard rend l'heure de l'apéritif très sympa, et les petites huttes privatives dans le jardin de passer des dîners en amoureux ou entre amis très agréables.

環境は最高です。プールの目の前にビーチがあり、プライベートビーチ状態です。夕方になるとフィリピン観光客たちも海に入りますが、それまでは私だけのもの～って感じです。美しい夕焼けも最高でした。食事も海を見ながら摂れます。また、マッサージ30分無料券とブレックファースト券も付いていてラッキーでした。マッサージは60分以上のものにも変更可能で変更した場合ディスカウントしてくれました。しかし、お部屋は広いのですが、キングサイズのベッド、TV、シャワー、洋式トイレ、バスタオル2枚、リンスインシャンプー2つ、石鹸1つ、歯ブラシ2つ、エアコン以外なにもありません。エアコンはものすごい音がうるさくて睡眠を妨げます。ハンドタオルもフェイスタオルもなし。リンスインシャンプーはギシギシ。冷蔵庫もありません。シービューもありません。コテージに泊ればまた違うかもしれませんが・・・。せめて冷蔵庫とハンドタオルが欲しかったです。スタッフはみな親切で、安心できました。帰りはバス停まで送迎もしてくれました。
