Tucked among lush native plants on a gentle, grassy slope, the house leads right down to a calm, sandy beach, offering incredible views and your own private shoreline steps from the door. Blending cozy comfort with easy convenience and a sense of seclusion, Lanai is your spot for a peaceful, laid-back escape on beautiful Eleuthera. Step into Lanai, where laid-back island style meets modern comfort. Inside, you'll find a bright, open living space with clean design, blending traditional Bahamian vibes with a modern touch and big windows that let in loads of natural light. The open kitchen is stocked with all the essentials to make fresh, local meals easy. Choose to dine indoors or on the large, screened-in porch, with its views of lush greenery and the turquoise waters just beyond. Each of the two bedroom suites is designed for a restful night's sleep, with queen beds, soft bedding, ample storage, and private ensuite bathrooms. The beach here changes with the season and weather—sometimes offering 50+ feet of private sand, and other times revealing a more rocky shore, but the water is always gin clear and sandy bottomed, free of rocks or seagrass. Lanai’s location makes exploring Eleuthera a breeze. In just 20 minutes, you can reach Harbour Island, Spanish Wells, the Glass Window Bridge, Preacher’s Cave, and the Sapphire Blue Hole. Gregory Town, a neighboring settlement with great surf and a few restaurants is 30 min away. Spent a week at Mike’s place as a group of 4 adults and had a amazing time. Mike was extremely helpful and really went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for our stay. The Lanai is the perfect beach house, spacious, clean and well equipped. The screened in porch was absolutely amazing for late night drinks and conversations away from the insects! The private beach was so perfect, the water calm and shallow, the soft white sand with a tinge of pink, all protected by picturesque rock formations! Very peaceful. We will definitely be back!!! The water’s clear; small fish can be seen a few short snorkeling minutes away using the gear stored on site. We also saw a ray and some tiny starfish. The small beach is very private and peaceful. Wear beach shoes/sandals to step over the limestone outcrop to get to the sand. There’s no microwave, but the oven heats quickly to warm up restaurant takeaways. The host, Mike, was incredibly quick and helpful in replying to any and all questions. The last quarter mile of the road is unpaved with some potholes and rocky ledges; a high-clearance vehicle is best. Overall, a super rental experience. ##### Daniel S. Everything is perfect about this property. The drinking water available is so lovely and means we don’t have to buy a ton of plastic bottles. It’s one of the reasons we chose this place. The house is so charming and cozy. The swimming here is ideal. Calm beautiful clear waters. This is the place to relax for sure however there is some adventure around you if that’s what you’re looking for. Mike was very communicative and helped us anytime we needed something. I will definitely be coming back here.
