What a lovely place is St Johns Lodge, made all the better by being run by Rich and Ada, who were lovely, and couldn't do enough for us. The room was very tastefully decorated, very comfortable. The bathroom was large, and the shower easy to get into, and loads of lovely hot water. The breakfasts were the best we've had, and Rich and his team did everything to make it perfect, even managing to get coffee to my husbands liking (a very difficult feat!!). They provide a very useful folder that has places of interest to visit, restaurants and walks in the area. They were very easy to talk to and I cannot recommend this guest house highly enough.

Lovely stay - would return
This little B&B in Windermere has standards of comfort and service which could rival a 5* international hotel. Before we arrived I received a call from Rich to confirm our arrival time. The room was clean, comfortable and appointed to a very high standard. The Breakfast selection was second to none, with lots of freshly cooked options - and all dietary requirements catered for. I would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B for an upmarket stay. It is within easy walking distance of Windermere centre with dining and transport options. I used the off-site health club which was about a 5 minute drive away.

Lovely and spotless guest house, ideally situated between Windermere and Bowness. Rich was very informative and very helpful. Lovely fresh breakfast with lots of choice. Thanks for a great 3 days would highly recommend.
