You’ll be staying at a classic beach shack with a wonderful, eclectic style that will take you back in time to the summers of your childhood. Brushed with a 1960’s vibe, Bluetongue is classic surf shack that captures the quintessential essence of beach life on the South Coast. Whilst relaxing on the back deck from the main living area you can simply relax enjoy the sea breeze whilst you’ll sip a glass of wine and listen to the waves crash in the distance. Winter visitors will love the combustion fire with complimentary firewood which will keep you warm and toasty on those crisp south coast nights. The large outdoor garden is the ideal spot to launch a tennis ball to the dog, read a book and watch the children play. When you do come inside your only difficulty will be deciding how to relax. Maybe kick back on the couch and enjoy Netflix, listen to some tunes or reconnect the family over a well-contested board game. Whilst the kids and dog play you can be busy uploading your amazing holiday photos using the complimentary unlimited wifi. On the back deck the chef of the family can show off their culinary skills in the woodfire pizza oven, or on the BBQ before the family gathers around to laugh, tell tales and enjoy a memorable feast (please BYO wood for pizza oven). It was a lovely property, some adjusting of the following would help: 1)probably needs a new dining table set with new chairs inside, as my niece sat on one of the chair’s and she fell to the ground and injured her back as the chair broke. 2)also the back yard lawn was not mowed and the pergola area was messy and not blown 3) also needs a new couch as we could feel the legs weren’t steady. 4) the bathroom tiles in the kids bedroom were coming off ##### Shobie S. You can simply take a leisurely stroll to the beach or if you are lazy, a quick less-than-5-minutes drive to the beach. Whilst the description of the house was quite accurate, the cleanliness upon check in is not on par to the cleaning fee we paid for or would expect on check in. Whilst every effort was made to contact the property managers to have the house cleaned (the floors dirty and the shower cubicle was not clean at all), the cleaners never did come by to give the house another clean. We also had an issue with the oven working. This is not the fault of the owners or property managers but a guide on how to operate major appliances would be a plus-point. ##### Marnie M. Location is perfect, with a short walk to the beach and a sunny drenched deck with large backyard perfect for the dog. The down side is the house is in need of a really good clean, a dust and surfaces wiped. In the kitchen we found utensils and crockery had seen better day's and some things could do with being replaced. Plastic chopping board's had mould on them, milk frother still had old milk in it. We also found a pair of undies in the corner of a room. These are things that can be fixed and will make for a more comfortable stay. ##### Kristy P. It was perfect for our extended family group, including our labrador puppy. We stayed for a week. The deck and backyard gets lots of sun and is a great place to hang out, and we enjoyed the hot tub. The kitchen has everything you'd expect and more, and there is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry. The wi-fi was reliable and there are plenty of books, games and DVDs. The house is walking distance to a beautiful and dog-friendly beach and a cafe/shop with good coffee, excellent fish and chips, and general supplies. It was awesome that we could bring our dog too. Highlights were the jacuzzi, indoor fireplace, outdoor pizza oven and Netflix on both TVs was a big hit!!! House had EVERYTHING you could possibly need. The annexe out the back was a great bonus for extra sleeping space. Spa was awesome, back yard huge-plenty of back yard cricket was had!
