Wood floors throughout, A/Cs in every room, and wireless internet. The full kitchen has a microwave, coffee maker, slow cooker, toaster, blender and more. With a Brand New Queen Bed in bedroom one, a twin and twin trundle in bedroom two and a full size futon in the living area, you can sleep up to six. Outdoor furniture, gas grill and bait freezer are also available outside. The unit is also located just two lots from the nearest bath house for laundry or when an extra shower or bathroom is needed. No cable TV but free WiFi. Just 25 minutes to Key West and 30 minutes to Marathon. The property is a dry lot but you can launch your boat each day at the boat ramp within the park. Boating access is second to none with quick access to the Atlantic or Gulf side. Looe Key, with World Class snorkeling is just a short boat ride away. Check-in at 4pm. Check out at 11am. \*\*\*PLEASE READ\*\*\* There is a $125 registration fee payable on check-in. This is a one-time fee, for the duration of your stay, payable directly to Venture Out on arrival. This covers all guests staying in our unit. This is completely separate to the payment made to VRBO. Please be aware that there is a credit card fee at the gate. Venture Out Resort has been a popular destination among vacationers. The amenities include: 24 hour security, Lighted tennis courts, Olympic-sized heated pool, kiddie pool, spa Jacuzzi, ping pong, bocce ball courts, shuffleboard courts, lighted basketball court, children's playground, pool table, darts, Marina complete with 2 ramps, gas, store, ATM and fish cleaning station, boat trailer parking onsite, open water picnic areas, ocean front tiki hut, lending library, post office - and MORE - ALL IN A GATED COMMUNITY with a mixture of RV sites and manufactured homes where you can feel safe and secure. Host is not liable or held responsible as some park amenities may not always be available due to repairs, maintenance, closures or utility outages. PARKING: There is room to park one vehicle on the driveway at the property. Additional vehicle's may be parked on site for an additional $5 per night. Boat/ trailer storage is available on site for an additional $10 per night, both payable to Venture Out Resort on arrival. Renters and owners coming into the park will be restricted to one (1) additional overflow parking spot. This means you have your one transportation vehicle on your lot, and / or one (1) additional paid overflow parking spot, if available. You may use the additional overflow parking spot for either one (1) boat trailer or one (1) additional vehicle, but you will not be able to park both. The additional paid overflow parking is NOT GUARANTEED. Venture Out will not be responsible to try and accommodate or locate any accomodations for any extra boats, trailers, or additional vehicles if there is no parking available. VENTURE OUT has strict pet rules. 2 dogs maximum, under 50 pounds each. Please communicate before booking whether you will be bringing any pets. Certain dog breeds require approval from the owner. Please be prepared to bring cages/ kennels , along with any beddings. No pets on furniture. There is a $100 pet fee as well. You cannot walk your dog within the park but you can keep it on the lot. Bring Doggie Bags to pickup after your pet. It was clean, comfortable and a grest place to sit and relax after a day full of adventures. We were visiting our son who lives on Summerland Key and works for the Boy Scouts. Was generally clean. The bathroom was very clean. The beds were clean. The floors and surfaces were ok. The washer and dryer were great. The hot water was good. Nothing to complain about the house. The resort was nice and quiet. Very peaceful. Security did a good job, the resort is well staffed and the bathhouses were very clean. The pool was awesome. Bring your own darts and tennis equipment, the resort doesn’t provide them or have them. I would say the extra $125 was kind of a waste. All we really got for it was use of the pool. The kitchen faucet and shower valve are barely functioning. Many things within the home are not finished lots of the remodeling were done poorly. It was a great place to stay till a baldheaded secure guard knock on the door when we were loading our car because it was about 3inches to far in the road. Never mind all the other cars parked in the road. This guy was just looking for something to complain about. The pool overlooking the ocean was amazing. The location we felt was just the right distance to get both up and down the keys. Jason and Dee were very responsive to anything we asked. The property was about what we expected from the photographs. It's not a 5 star hotel, but is a good home base for the nights. The main TV is large and amazing for night time movies. Them lending us kayaks was also nice of them. Make sure to bring your own tie down straps and kids life jackets. We remembered both and they worked great. ##### Scott C. The outside areas could use attention and a good cleaning to be useable for sitting and the grill was not working. Michael refunded us our money for the propane tank we filled for the grill, and was helpful getting us online. Overall, the park was nice but the overflow lot was filled by the time our friends arrived the second week and we had to go way off base to find them parking. From what we've seen however, this host charges a fair price. As I said, the inside was very clean and the kitchen and living room are very roomy. Jan 28, 2023 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location #### All good! Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Location was good for us as it was between Key West and activities further up the keys. Venture Out resort was nice and convenient. Kids liked the pool after a day out exploring. It was really quiet on the resort. Mainly a retirement community. Low speed limits, lots of golf carts and bikes. One morning we took advantage of their pancake breakfast which was nice. All the courts looked nice but we didn’t get a chance to use. We probably could have spent a few days and never left the resort and still had a good time. Overall the rental fit our needs. There were a few minor cosmetic things here and there (light fixture covers missing in bathroom and master bedroom) but pretty small. I would also prefer a door on the master that shuts/locks but it is just a sliding door. Not a huge deal but with multiple kids, some privacy is nice. The new mattress in the bedroom was good. Could maybe upgrade the pillows next. For us, the big deal is price point. This rental was a decent value and good location. We really spend little time actually at our rentals so we look for that value and location over luxury and this was right in line. Gave our family still enough room to stretch out, be comfortable and get a good rest for the next days adventures. Laundry was great to have in the unit as we try to pack light. Apr 3, 2021 Liked: Communication Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy #### Not Clean, Not Maintained, Wasted Fees If you are thinking of staying at this place, I would avoid it. To start, there is a substantial cleaning fee and I feel that very little cleaning took place before our stay. I don’t know what is cleaned for the cost, but I know it’s not the floors. When we walked on the floors with our bare feet, they were immediately black with dirt. Lots of dirt all over on the floor you can feel when you walk and just gross to walk on with bare feet. All of the appliances and everything in the place are very outdated and not maintained. There were multiple lights with no light shades on them and just the bare bulb, the refrigerator handle was dark and dingy brown as it was likely decades old. The chairs in the kitchen were dirty and stained and had small holes in them. Just minimal upkeep and very dated, junky items. Some of the dishes that we got out of the cupboard were dirty with crusted food on them. There is no dishwasher, so plan on doing dishes yourselves. This is certainly far cheaper per night than staying in Key West, but of all of the places we have stayed in over several years of travel, I would rate this very close to the bottom. At every turn, things have the feel of being as cheaply done as possible with very minimal maintenance or upkeep. There was even a light switch in my kids bedroom with no cover on it so you could literally reach in and touch the wires and oh by the way, the light switch didn’t even control light in the room. The community is quite nice and well-maintained, but as the posting mentions, you have to spend a lot just to enter it. So obviously between the cleaning and entrance fees, there’s a large amount that doesn't feel like there is much value. We also had to pay about another fee for damage protection, despite virtually nothing being maintained. In hindsight, we would’ve had to spend almost 3 times as much per night to stay in Key West, but I think that would’ve been the better decision instead of staying here. ##### Joe M.
