"This is a tired property, there was a hole in the floor covered by lino. Things broken and cracked. Yes, perfect location for ammeneties etc. But in room 1, do not stay. Things are rusty, shelves missing. Bed you can feel springs. "

It soon became clear that this was no longer a hotel but a shelter for the homeless. The only person available to speak to was a security guard who gave me the number of the owners, who are based in India. They didn't even know that they owned the hotel, far less whether it was open or not. I had to book into another hotel, obviously. ...
