"We chose this place based upon location next to the airport with a morning departure and not wanting to cab all the way from Belize city amongst congestion and traffic. The accommodations were more than adequate with well thought out extras like complimentary refrigerated bottled water, bandages, anti-septic, coffee, sundries, hairdryer, etc. Lots of cool/cold air conditioning! "Michelle and Scott were wonderful hosts. So kind and knowledgeable about the area. They picked us up from the airport and took us to the grocery store for snacks and such and made sure we had everything we needed. We didn’t have set plans upon arriving so we took their suggestion to visit Lamanai and it was the perfect recommendation. The Gecko Bungalow grounds are so lovely; well decorated and comfortable. There’s lots of lighting accents everywhere and the pool in the courtyard with the swim up bar made us want one in our own pool."

"We chose this place based upon location next to the airport with a morning departure and not wanting to cab all the way from Belize city amongst congestion and traffic. The accommodations were more than adequate with well thought out extras like complimentary refrigerated bottled water, bandages, anti-septic, coffee, sundries, hairdryer, etc. Lots of cool/cold air conditioning! Comfy bed. Great privacy. Across the street from a park with lit basketball court.But, without a doubt, the number one best thing was the awesome hospitality of the host, Lizbeth, who provided amazing service and transport to and from the airport, as well as Belize city - dependable, reliable, informative, and genuinely friendly and wanting to be as helpful as possible! 5 stars for her, and 5 stars for a nearby local restaurant that she provided free transportation back and forth! PS. Lizbeth and most people speak flawless English."

"The entire place is so well-designed and nicely lighted at night so the area can be enjoyed well after dark. The pool was sparkling clean and just perfect for relaxing with lounge chairs in the water. Our unit was very comfortable - great air conditioner and fan - and the decor is very cute. The owners are so helpful and friendly and very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed."

"Shanna was so kind taking care of all our needs. She made our first international trip feel easy. If you're thinking about staying here I would not hesitate. It's truly an amazing jungle experience. The howler monkeys were so amazing to sit and watch. We had a few baby howlers which were adorable. The little crocodile in the pond was fun to see. Thanks again for an amazing stay!"
