"Angie is a lovely warm welcoming lady , nothing was a bother , only staid one night as was having a meal in the Fox Covert next door which is really great place , The cottage was a propped cottage feel , and could sleep upto 6 but was only the two of us , proper kitchen and shower n toilet was compact but everything you needed , lovely place to stay and will be back , also location is good for all local amenities and local attractions, Thank you "

"We loved this property. The owners obviously have an eye for decor as it is a really stylish place and beautifully finished. We loved how peaceful the property was and the owners had thought of everything . We really appreciated the tea, coffee and milk after a 5 hour drive and the muffins, biscuits and crisps were a lovely touch. All the information you needed was in a folder and we visited lots of the places recommenced in it. It’s a fantastic property and we hope to stay there again."

"Fantastic location perfect for a stop off on the way to Scotland. Lovely quiet family room with plenty of space. Perfect for pets as there is a lovely country walk on the grounds. Good free parking. Breakfast was a standard buffet and cooked breakfast which we were able to eat in the library as we had an anxious dog with us."

"Ideal place to stay for 1 night. A 5 minute walk from the train station, all amenities close by but it wasn't noisy for sleeping at night. "Very easy location if you are travelling northwards on the A1. A very leafy part of Darlington. There is a park the other side of the road a bit further on but we didn't go to it. The building has character and history that we like but there are modern rooms if you prefer that style. We have been twice recently and will go again. On the 2 Saturdays we have been there there have been weddings but have not been disturbed by any noise and quite enjoy seeing some of the guests as we go through the hotel! Wifi and breakfast were good."
