The area offers outdoor activities in all seasons! It is a great place to enjoy hiking, biking, rafting, skiing, and snowshoeing. The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is a 45-minute drive from the Grand Lodge. Landmarks and attractions are easily accessible and the resort is just a 5 min walk away! Getting Around: Most Guests bring their car to get around (we have a free parking lot with EV charging), but there are shuttles to get around if you'd prefer! However, the Grand Lodge staff were unfriendly and unhelpful, and the pool and hot tub were closed when we arrived because they had been trashed by college students treating the Grand Lodge like their personal Christmas Break party. The pool was my main reason for booking as my daughter loves to swim and she was very disappointed it was closed. There was a used toilet brush sitting in the hallway that my 4-year-old picked up before I could stop her. There was a partial joint and lots of trash around the pool and hot tub when it finally was available the next morning, and not completely packed with college kids getting trashed. When my daughter and I tried to use the steam room, a hammered girl came in, fell on the floor, and stood there bleeding everywhere. The staff did nothing about trying to keep the college kids in check, and we were up all night with drunk people loudly talking in the hallway. I would not recommend booking this place during any kind of holiday break if you want to enjoy it with your family. ##### Katherine B. We went for Fall Break so a lot of restaurants were closed but Gunnison is just 30 minutes away.
