Even the yard was gorgeous. The only unfortunate situation is that the evenings in Crested Butte are cool, but the afternoons warm up. Once the house gets warm it is difficult to cool it down for sleeping. There are no screens on the windows so opening them is not a great option. The addition of screens would make a huge difference. We’ve been coming to Colorado for 50+ years and this house is definitely at the top of the list. The owners thought of everything. The interior design of the house was warm, not to mention stunning. It was just the get away my husband and I were looking for. Super easy access to shops and restaurants. Great outdoor seating as well. Walter, the owner, was most accommodating and accessible.
